Would you be willing to spend a night alone in a remote house that is supposedly haunted?

I've already spent the night in a house that was "supposedly" haunted. I used to live there. It was creepy sometimes, and weird things did indeed happen, but nothing serious and nothing that ever really scared me.

I would at least try.

Oh sure, throw money into the pet question but not this one. Make me an offer.

Alias Irrelevante

yes, although it would be a challenge.

Silly as it might sound, I don't think I would. The most frightening movie I ever saw was The Amityville Horror, and I didn't think a movie about a haunted house could scare me as much as it did, so I think I'll just stay away from 'haunted houses'.

For no apparent reason? No. . .I like sleeping cuddled up to my husband, thank you.

If guaranteed to wake up the next morning, then sure.

That would really depend on how ornery I was feeling that day.

No Thanks. I don't know that I really believe in ghosts...but...well...my sister and I thought when we were children that our childhood home was haunted. We spent many a frightful night with overactive imaginations...No...I don't want to relive that.

Tam

Yes. I'm not superstitious; i dont believe in that stuff.

Can I bring a gun? Guess that wouldn't work on a ghost. I might be willing. I'd have to know more about the place.

I never sleep alone.

Of course, who would not want to too hang out with ghosts and spirits of dead people?...'I see dead people'...

Dr. Bob

If guaranteed to wake up the next morning, then sure.

Bring it on. i'm sure i'd wet my pants, but I'd take some good drugs or something and look for ghosts. nothing like a memorable evening.

Great question. My impulse answer is yes, but after giving it some deep thought, I'm not so sure. I sit on the fence when it comes to believing in hauntings. So I'm just not so sure I wouldn't let my mind get carried away with me if I were alone for too long a stretch in a suggestive environment.

I don't think I'd have a problem with that as long as I get a light and some snacks!

Yes. That would be such an experience. Without a doubt.  Definetly. "I ain't scared of no ghost."

If I had a good friend with me and a radio, I would probably do it.

Sure

As long as I could have someone with me (Scooby Doo preferred),  there was electric and I could leave the house if I wanted to.

Sure, if I had a reason to.

Yeah right. Even if I weren't scared of ghosts, axe murderers are still terribly real. But how much are you paying and can I bring morphine?

Cancer, 20

Of course.

Do you mean remote as in, won't have car and can't drive away or remote as in will not be able to leave? I probably wouldn't, either way, because I'm a wuss.

Johanna, 18

Only if I hadn't heard a whole lot of stories about it first. I think that's kind of a mind over matter thing and if you had heard a lot of stories about how creepy it is, you would make more out of ordinary things and end up scaring yourself than if you just spent the night in a place that you heard was haunted.

Given that the bulk of human history has not, it is likely that a reptile civilization might not either. Although, I'm sure like any idea given time they would explore such a concept.

Felicia, 36

Yes. Provided I have food and water and perhaps a telephone in case of an emergency, I'd do it.

As one who has spent many an evening in remote houses (non-haunted), I'd give it a shot.
