For
$100,000 would you have your pet put to sleep?Absolutely not. No way, not unless
I was planning on having it put down already. A pet is like a member of the family.
Nicci, 27

I dont have a pet, but hell no. That would
be like having a family member put to sleep. "for 100,000, would you have your
brother put to sleep?" might as well ask :P
Talia, 25
Stamford, CT
USA
I'd really like to say I wouldn't. *pause*
No, I don't think I would. There's a possibility I would one of my cats, because
he's old and unhealthy and will probably die of feline leukemia/be put down in the next 6
months anyway, but neither of my young pets.
Johanna, 18
OK USA
no
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
Absolutely not. That's like asking "for
100,000 would you have your child put to sleep?"
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
I wouldn't even consider it. My husband and
I have no children and our pets are like our children.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
No way.
Judy, 62

If I could buy a brand new conscience for
that much money, sure. Otherwise, never in a million years.
Fisch, 47

I'm considering eventual euthanasia
for an elderly dog, but money is not a part of my
reasoning.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
No, I wouldn't.
Felicia, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Well, hate to say it but yep!
Laney

I don't have any pets, but I do eat meat. I
wouldn't feel right about killing something JUST to get money.
Eric, 20
Beverly Hills, CA USA
What kind of sick, morbid, twisted question
is this? I would have my pet to sleep if my pet was very sick and not able to recover. I
would have my pet put to sleep if he/she were hit by a car or something catestrophic
happened. I don't even see how this question is a realistic possibility... nobody would
PAY me to put my pet to sleep. So, no, absolutely not, I would not do such a thing.
Doug2, 29
Overland Park, KS USA
I'd like to be noble and say
"of course not," but in reality it would depend on how badly my family needed
the money, the age and health of the pet, and perhaps
whether the pet was really "mine" or had come into the family other than by my
choice.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
Heck No! My cats are like my children. They
are innocent creatures and their death should not be put in our hands unless it is
destined so.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
YES!...but then again...I'd probably do it
for free.
Kyle, 16
OH USA
Dunno. Leaning towards 'yes.'
Alias Irrelevante
Absolutely not! Well, at least not my dog
(who I love like a child)! Now the cat...who's half feral in the first place...and who is
right now getting into my kitchen garbage...yes, I would'nt like to do it, but for 100,000
dollars, I think I would. I'd probably feel guilty about it for the rest of my life,
though. I would definitely donate a portion of the money to humane society or some other animal welfare
organization.
Tam
Right now while they are healthy?
No. And even if they were sick, I wouldn't put them to
sleep for money. This is an icky question.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Absolutely
not. This is a sick question, btw.
Triana, 29
Austin, TX
USA
What the hell? Of course not!
Cancer, 20
NYC, NY
USA
No.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Probably not. It kind of demonstrates the
fact that some people will do anything for money.
Jeremy, 14
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
HHHHHEEEEEEEEELLLLLL No. No harm shall ever
come to my little angel. I could do without that money, but I could never do without my
little girl Sylvie. She means more to me then some lump sum. I couldn't comprehend anyone
in their right mind doing that. I would personally bitch-slap anyone that would accept
that money over their pet.
Lisa J., 23

No
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH

Nope!
Tracy, 24

Goodnight, Toby.
A-Dog, 19

I don't think they put frogs to sleep. My
cat and my tadpole died in October, and one of my frogs died in May or June, so it's a
little late to be asking that. . .I only have one frog left. But no, I wouldn't have given
up my pets for $100,000. The only reason we put Kitty to sleep was that she had a tumor in
her jaw.
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
Good Lord no. I love my dog entirely too
much to be *bribed* to pay to put him to sleep. He's getting old, and I know that
eventually he's going to have to be put to sleep, but I wouldn't do it because someone
*paid* me. That's awful.
Hikaru, 19
PA USA
Seeing at this point the only pets I have
right now are peeves, I would say yes. Altough, I probably would do that with a real pet
as well.
