Do you ever feel that your life is so predictable that you are in a rut?

No I don't feel that my life is predictable at all. In fact, I wish it was. Then I would know what was coming next.

Routine isn't a common garden confining rut. Routine is a rut with a view, a rut with elbow room and a rut with potential.

I'm ALWAYS busy and have things to do...it's predictable, but is it a rut?

Tracy, 24

I never allow my life to get that predictable.

Jane, 62

Of late I have felt that way.

Felicia, 36

Not often. I may feel bored, but my life is not so structured or mundane that I feel I'm living the same day over again.

I've gone through periods like that, but right now, I'm just starting college so there's a lot of changes and every day's pretty different.

Not even for a single moment!

No, because everyday there is something different happening. But when it is the same old thing it's still not a rut.

I have felt that way in the past, yes, but definitely not anymore. Now, I would say that my life is mostly predictable but I certainly don't feel like I'm in a rut... I'm very happy with the way my life is going right now, predictable or not.

I think I can truthfully answer No to this question. I do pretty much the same thing everyday but with enough variation to keep life from being boring and predictable.

No. I like to be in a rut. I have a 12 year old and when my rut of driving to Girl Scouts, Soccer, school, and work she always decides she really needs to go somewhere else. i want to be in my rut tonight and not go anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KarenNJ, 25

Not really, but sometime I actually wish it were so.

Ryan, 29
Morton, IL USA

No. I like change and get bored if I do the same thing every day. So I make sure that things are different. Variety is the spice of life.

Before September 8th, I would have answered yes...after my totally awesome 2 week vacation in AK, I think I shook myself out of my rut...dude, it was, like, totally awesome...I hiked more miles than I can count...ran into 3 black bears (no more than 30 feet directly in front of me) on the Turnagain arm trail...saw lots of salmon, Beluga whales, and a a couple of moose, and lots of birds...saw lots of glaciers (took a float plane to see some glaciers)...hiked in Denali, in Exit glacier...lots of places...the best 2 weeks of my life...it totally reeked of awesomeness...
