Would you rather be a member of a championship sport team or be the champion of an individual sport?

I wouldn't mind either, but probably lean more toward the team sport. I like that feeling of being part of something and sharing with others. It's more fun that way.

Either would be nice, but that's not really something I'd care a lot about.

I don't work well with others and would rather work by myself, so I'll have to say I'd rather be the champion of an individual sport. (Also, I simply eat up praise!)

Champion of an individual sport, thaat way if i mess up the only person ill be screwing over is myself.

I'd rather be on a championship team. Sure you might not get all the glory, but I'm betting there is less pressure to win it all again.

Ryan, 29

Probably a team... you'd be able to share that feeling of accomplishment with everyone.

Team - more friends - more ppl to share the annoying adoring public -Team sports usually involve more money too.

Team sport, definitely. I'm a basketball/baseball playin kind of guy. I like the team atmosphere more than individual accomplishments.

I would rather be a member of a championship sports team because I would be able to be proud of others as well as myself.

Melodi, 19

I prefer individual sports, not that I am very good at them, so I'd rather be the champion of one of them.

I'm not really into sports. But if we're going to take the team-player versus individual success thing to another setting then I'd rather know every aspect of the effort, good and bad, was in my control. Of course not everything is about competition, but explaining that would lead to a really long answer.

I'd be flabergasted if either happened. I really would depend on the sport. For instance, I would love to be on a champion volley ball team, but not a champion soccer team (I hate all that running). I'd love to be a swimmer, but not a runner (again I hate running).

Neither. But if I HAD to pick, individual.

Karen, 22

There seems to be a lot more excitement and camradarie generated within team champions. I like the notion of having other people to share in that success.

Cara, 18
Valparaiso

Doesn't matter. I don't care if I am a champion of any sport.

Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Champion of an individual sport.

Tam

I have no interest in competitive athletics--either team sports or individual matches.
My ambition would to be in good physical shape for living rather than for competing.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

Both options sound like entirely too much work to me.

Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA

i would say a team championship.

Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA

Individual sport. I don't usually get along well with others to be on a team.

Em, 16
Harrisburg, PA USA

I guess champion of an individual sport...whatever.
