The Stones say 'you can't always get what you want'...what do you want that
you haven't got?
The love of a good
man, financial freedom and a big bowl of mashed potatoes.

Hmmm . . . I'm
pretty content right now. I suppose a romantic entanglement with that
attractive artist I've had my eye one would be nice.

Fortunately I've
got everything I could ever want. (Thank you Lord.) But what about how
the song ends? "Somehow you always get what you need." I didn't
always think I got what I wanted years ago but now that I look back, I
did, indeed, get what I needed and that's how the song ends.

Yo, dawg, here
is the straight dope...from the straight dope...the obvious answer to
that question is a real job...I do not classify what I do as a real job...of
course, as I tell one of you 2000 dazed people...one is judged by 2 things...what
one does for a living...and how much money one makes...I lose out on both
counts...of course, what I really want to do is to write for a living...of
course, it is more important that I not file for a living...but I digress...whatever...that
is whacked...gnarley

I don't know. I'm

could ask for anything more?"

Great question
Frodo. I had to think about this one because I'm really quite content.
However, a car that is newer than the one I have would be nice...oh yes,
and perhaps a risk-taking publisher. Mo' money would be pretty nice too
while you're at it.

I want the time,
the energy and the drive to be able to write books that sing - books that
tell stories people want to read - books that become favorite companions
and cherished reads.

Word up dawg here
is the 411: In regarding to the old Stones song, you can't always get
what you want...well, anybody who knows me, knows there is alot of things
I want, but do not have...and that is the straight dope... of course,
I want a job that is not brain dead workd...in which I can feel
my last brain cells dying a horrible death...I would like to never, ever
hear clean, safe, and sane again....I would like to never, ever see purple
on Friday again...I would like to be a published author...like the guy
in Misery...btw, I chose the aforementioned title 7 for a reason...I would
like to never, ever, ever, ever have to file again...or at least not do
it as my primary thing...I would like to once again meet up with the Legendary
Big Guy Sarge...in that Great Kennel in the sky...
