How do you feel about the US bombing Iraq?
I have very mixed
feelings about this. I really feel that there shouldn't be a war.

Not good at all.
War and destruction never a good choice.

I'm sad, but I
believe this is a just war.

Sad and ashamed.

I think bombing
Irag was the only thing to be done and should have been done sooner like
12 years ago. Look at the things that monster has gotten away with. I
just pray God will keep our troops safe and pray it is not a long war.
If mothing was done we would have another 9-11 but
something even worse.

I am ashamed to
call myself an American. This is a sad day for the US.

It's not just the
US bombing Iraq. I'm not against removing Saddam, I'm against the methods
being used to do that.
Aly,

Don't even get
me started. It's morally wrong.
Laura,

I think it's something
we must do. Inspections weren't going to work and we could have gone on
playing Saddam's game for another twelve years. Even with the bombing
we won't kill as many people as Saddam already has. Not to mention the
one's he'd do in in the future. He's evil and the Iraqis will be better
off afterward.

*shrug* I try
not to think about it. Like my husband said to his dad last night, the
news is just
depressing. I've got enough problems in my life without having the world's
problems dragging me down too. I'd rather be happy, like I am today!
Karen,

I don't like it.
I feel bad for the Iraqi civilians who will become homeless when their
homes are destroyed and who will loose loved ones to the bombings. I feel
bad for the American soldiers who are putting their lives on the line
and their families who are probably sick with worry over them. I honestly
don't feel that this war is just. I mean, I know that Saddam Hussein is
a terrible man, but I just think his regime could have been overthrown
in a way that didn't involve war.

I have mixed emotions
and I'm not just taking the easy way out here. I really do. I understand
our government felt the need to go in there but don't necessarily agree
with, or even completely understand their view. I do fully support our
troops who are merely following orders and doing their job. What pleases
me most is that it appears we are taking great care with regard to civilians
this time around... and have the capability to get this thing done with
minimal bloodshed. I do feel there's a need to eradicate this nutjob over
there, and who else in the world would have the capabilities we have.
As to those protesting the war... great, you have a cause and a right
to
speak out for it. But let's quit blocking roads and emergency vehicles
and burning flags. For Pete's sake, the thing has begun and all the "stop
the war" signs in the world aren't going to put and end to it until
the military goals are met. Protest loud and clear, but let's keep it
in perspective!

It is completely
irrelevant what I think about it....the bottom line is it is a fact...who
cares what
I think???

I'm not happy about
the present administration's unilateral actions in the Middle East. War
may be a necessity, but we should not be ignoring the other members of
the U.N.

Don't fully agree
with the bombing nor the leaders running the shows, but support the pawns
fighting their battles.

Like most of the
world I'm not really in favor of it. I was watching CSPAN a couple days
ago and they had a reporter from Australia on the phone saying that even
though their government supports Bush for political and financial reasons
they had over 200,000 people, including regular dayjob types and not just
students, drop what they were doing to protest.

I feel horrible
about it. I can't imagine in this day and age that we can't find a way
to solve problems without blowing people up. That said, I believe that
Saddam Hussein is a threat to the world and I pray that my country is
doing what is right.
Cindy, 41

Sad. Even if I
were convinced that it was the right thing to do, which I am not, I would
regret that diplomacy had failed.

sooner!

sad. i am not one
fanatically anti-war or anything, but anytime your country feels its only
option is to attack someone else, it is a very sad thing.
