How did you meet the majority of your current friends?
Through school or,
sadly at The Landmark, a scary local honky tonk bar.

Almost all of my
friends I've met through 1.) spontaneous interaction or, 2.) mutual friends
that I've otherwise met through spontaneous interaction. I don't normally
meet people that I become actual
friends with in any other way.

The LDS church
tends to be close-knit and that's where I met most of my friends.
Reba,

of my friends through people who were my exs friends and meeting people

Some I've known
since childhood. Some I met through various jobs or other friends, and
others I met while using the Internet ~ there are two in particular who
I met through this project.

I didn't meet them
all in one place. Of my good/best friends, one is from elementary school,
one or two are from high school and the rest are from college or my job.
I have friends from every time
period of my life. It's wonderful!!

I
met them through volleyball and work. I play volleyball almost every Tuesday
evening at a middle school near my old neighborhood. Some of us have been
playing together almost 14 years. The people in my department at work
are all nice. We eat lunch out at a restaurant once a week, and we have
a very useful but also very funny status meeting on Fridays where we tell
tall tales about the trials and tribulations of the week, make fun of
users (we're the programmers),
laugh at upper management, and sometimes have beer (root) and pretzels.

My
closest friends are from high school. The friends that I socialize the
most with, I know either through work or through my husband's work contacts.

My
sisters are my best friends. Some are my friends from grammar school.
Some from work. And some from my sons friends, I met the moms and now
we're friends socially.

There
is no one way that I met the majority of my friends. I met my husband
at my brother's party. I met my mom because she was my mom. I met my friend
Katie in high school. I met my friend Sara in middle school, my friend
Jeff in kindergarten, my friend Lizzie at camp, my friend Staci in college.

I'm
not swamped with current friends. Not working so it's hard to meet new
people. I do have a few Internet friends now.
