Is
there a person(s) in your life who 'packs your parachute' and who you can turn to for
strength when you need it? No :(
Talia, 25
Stamford, CT
USA
I would have to say Tanya, my best friend
from high school. We left school 4 years ago and we still keep in touch. She is always
there when I need her.
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
Sure.
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
Not really, I think I used to be the strong
one and now I'm not sure there is one.
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
Yes and he's certainly been put to the test
the last few months as I've gone through a difficult time. We're on the other side now and
I can honestly say if he wasn't there I'd probably be stark raving mad.

This question, albeit a little hard
to understand for my pea brain...I will give it a
shot...The Legendary Big Guy Sarge...'packs my parachute'...after all, I surround my work
space with pictures of the Legendary Big Guy...that is how I make it through the day.

I have a very dear neighbor whom is to me
like a sister that I can turn to for strength and anything I might need. More so than
anyone in my family. She is 13 years older than me and always wanted a sister and I being
the oldest of 7 sisters I always wanted a older sister. So God has given me that person as
my neighbor. And I thank God for her. I try to do the same for me as she does for me. She
is a blessing and inspiration to me.

Yes. My father, and my fiance. They are my
two best friends in the whole world. My son, too.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV

When I read this, more than one person came
to mind. That's very comforting to know! My sister who I can tell ANYTHING to. My husband
who is always supportive. My mother who had always been there. And my best friend who will
do anything for me!!

I'm not sure what "packs your
parachute" means. I've never heard the phrase
before. But when I need to rely on someone, I usually rely on God, my husband and my
sisters.

Most recently, my wife. She supports me
through everything... but my parents are my biggest supporters, always have been and I
think they always will be.

Not usually. I pretty much keep to myself.
For the past few days, however, I've been a little depressed. My boyfriend and I just
moved in together and it seems like we're rushing it, and all of a sudden I'm scared. As a
result, I've been a real bitch toward him, and yesterday, I finally broke down and began
crying. He began to hold me, and I realized that if there's anyone I could talk to about
this, it's him. He's my strength.

Just before I moved, I met a wonderful
person - Sandy. Although I seldom get to see her, I keep in touch by email and sometimes,
telephone. When things go wrong, I tend to get hyper and can't think straight. Sandy has a
very calming influence on me and helps me see the situation more clearly. I've never known
anyone like her and I wonder how I ever managed without her.
Reba, 50+

My daughter packs my parachute. My fiance is
my tower of strength. I know he's here for me when I need anything....from hugs to laughs.

I've never heard of it being called
"packing a parachute," but I definitely
depend on my girlfriend for a LOT of things. She keeps me organized, keeps me sane, and
keeps me healthy; she also keeps me out of dire straits and big trouble. I don't think
I'll ever be capable of adequately repaying her. I love her so much, and I'm very lucky
that despite all the work she has to do for me, she loves me just as much.

Parachute packers are rather thin on the
ground these days, but I've learned to weave my own safety net.

Yes, My Mother & Jesus
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH
USA
No... but I wish there was.
Valeri, 21
Los Angeles, CA USA
Various persons have filled this role in my
life at various times. These days I more often find myself as the person providing
strength to others.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
My husband is my best cheerleader.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Absolutely. We've been married for nearly 40
years.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
Hmm... this is a tough one. I suppose my mom
would be at the top of my list, but there is also a teacher who I used to go to for help
at school, as well as my friends. I guess you could say that they all "pack my
parachute."
Jeremy, 15
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
My best friend for the past 22 years, Dawn.
She probably doesn't realize just how much of an inspiration she is to me, and how just
having a 10 minute conversation with her "picks me right up."
Tam
I suppose my sister and
my good friends.
