Do
you have place that you like to go too to 'get away from it all'?No I am still trying
to find a way in to it all.
Christopher, 28
San Mateo, CA
USA
I like to shop. To get away from everyone
and it relaxes me.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
Yes, the bathroom.
Sarah Jane, 15
Preston, CT
USA
Usually that's into my computer somewhere
Firelady, 24
Frisco, TX

The car. I think best when I'm driving, so
not only am I wasting non-renewable resources but I'm not really paying attention to the
road. But it helps.

I can go to a club and make it look like I
know what I am doing, but ask me to get up and do the fox trot...forget it. I would love
to know how to do all the old dances and maybe some swing too, but that's one thing I
don't have time for. Maybe someday!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
Just my room.
Jeremy, 14
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
No one specific spot, but I tend to go to
the hills, preferably a mountain lake. If I don't have time for that, I hide out in a
library.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
I don't have a special place. I'm alone most
of the time, so I don't really need it.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
Anytime and anywhere Im with my son. Thats
my realease from everyday reality. Doesn't matter if its in the pool, hiking on the
mountains, or just chilling on the sofa watching Invader Zim or Spongebob. Everymoment
with him is amazing. I can't believe he's so grown up so fast.
Nicci, 27
Las Vegas, NV
USA
I have a camp that used to be my Dad's
hunting camp out in the middle of no where. I love to go there...it's so peaceful...the
smell of Sassafras wafts thru the air...a nice breeze blows thru the trees...crickets and
peepers sing...I just cant put into words how wonderful it is!
Tam
A mountain lake in fall. Day-to-day
it would be my abode. Driving for no good reason
is excellent too.

Lowell, MA

My parents have a house in upstate New York,
in the middle of the woods. When I go there, I sit on the front porch, maybe get a little
high, and listen to the woods around me. I always feel so refreshed when I go there.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
Usually the only thing I need to get away
from it all is a good book and my couch. I also like going down the shore and staring at
the waves.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA
USA
Home is where I get away from it
all: I've got two cats who tear the place apart, but
aside from that, I've got it to myself. I'm in the middle of the apartment complex, so I
never hear traffic noise, and my windows face out into a courtyard lined with fountains,
honeysuckle, and tropical plants. The complex itself is surrounded by German
cemeteries: one Lutheran, one Catholic, one Jewish. It's nice to have quiet
neighbors.
Bill, 27
New Orleans, LA USA
Yep. When I was in my teens I used to like
to drive out to this spot by an old wood bridge, and go sit on this large rock in this
creek that fed into a lake. I wound up buying my house not far from this place, so now I
can go and walk to the spot to reflect.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
Yes, when my husband's not home, my
"apartment in the clouds" (21st floor). If
he's home I just like to go for a walk somewhere away from the building. At work I hide in
a stall in the rest room.
Reba, 50+
Silver Spring, MD USA
Yes. I like to go sit in my car near the
edge of the ocean....or to the cemetary where my mother was buried. I find comfort and
peace of mind at either location.
Fisch, 47
Preston, CT
USA
I have no where to go. Im trapped here no
matter how miserable it may be at times.
Talia, 25
Stamford, CT
USA
yes, i go to the bush, somewhere quiet and
where the only sound is nature. also go to the beach and relax on the sand.
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
I used to. But these days it pretty much all
follows me no matter where I go--unless I go to a small town in Colorado I know of, which
is very relaxing.
Karen, 22
Ames, IA
USA
Some days a long soak in a bubble bath with
a glass of wine is enough.
KarenNJ, still 25
Milltown, NJ
USA
Every year, my family and I go to
Charlestown, RI for a week w/ a few other families and we spend every day from 8 - 6 on
the beach just totally relaxing...we dont talk to anybody at work or home (unless it's an
emergency) and we just forget about our everyday life to remember the simple things in life.
Jessica, 18
Fairfield, CT
USA
Yeah, but it's too far away to go to these
days. I went there last week though and loved it :)
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
I actually have a couple different places I
like to escape to now and then.
Ryan, 29
Morton, IL
USA
Yes, I definitely do have a place to get
away from it all. Nearby, I go to a park, hang with the dogs, walk, and clear my mind.
When I get to stressed out, I walk several miles in the park. Of course, I walk every day,
to clear my head...of what little is in my head...but I digress...of course, thye ultimate
place I go to relax is Alaska...but that is hardly convienant too me...but whatever.
