Would
a civizilation of intelligent reptiles value romantic love? i think so..um....yes
i do.
Brad, 21
Sydney AUSTRALIA
I believe love is primal. Many
animals in nature show a tendency to care and love their offspring. I do not believe it
takes intelligence to love. Just because we associate
reptiles with snakes, crocks, and lizards with the rough style feeding they display does
not mean they are minus emotions. It means they are animals that need to eat. Oh they are
cold blooded. Simply, that means they need the sun to survive. This is a biological fact.
We are intelligent beings yet we make nuclear weapons. It was based on our ignorance and
curiosity that the weapons were used. This is a different question. If the reptiles were
an intelligent community I believe they would be exactly like us. Some good, some evil,
some hateful, some vengeful. Only if they had their own planet though. If they were on
earth they would be shunned, which would create a great amount of hatred. Which would look
like they did not love. Do you love Osama bin Laden? I believe he has some love. Love for
his people, love for his religion, hey he might be a romantic man. We as Americans
hate him.

uh, ok.

I don't know much about the way animals
think, but I would like to think that they would.

Why don't you ask them?
Jill, 61

Well, I'm no reptile expert, but
from what little I do know of them, I'd have to sat no, they would not value romantic
love. This is a question for Steve Irwin, the Croc
Hunter!
Tam
That is the most ridiculous question I've
ever come across on 2000 days.

Sure? Maybe? That's kind of a hard question
because who really knows the evolution of emotions?

Why not?

Stop! You're making my brain hurt again.

I'm not quite sure why a
civilization of intelligent mammals values romantic
love so much, to be honest.

If they're intelligent then I guess that
love would hold the same value that it does to us.

Haven't you ever watched Star Trek?
Reba, 50+

Not sure. Don't know of intelligent reptiles
or civilizaton of them.
Stephanie, 25

Wow, I don't know. I think my frogs were
really good friends and maybe loved each other. Frogs aren't reptiles, though. But I'd
like to think reptiles have similar motivation.

That's the most bizzare question
i've yet to recieve from here :P And i think its
completely unanswerable. Who knows? Maybe.

Yes...yes, this is definitely the new
front-runner in Strangest Question contest.
Alias Irrelevante
who knows, but do female mammals value
reptiles? I don't.
Janet, 44

I don't know, but I do not value romantic
value...of course I am a neanderthal, so I guess that is similar to intelligent reptiles,
or maybe not, I don't know...whatever.
Luki, 31

OK. Who's been reading the science fiction?
Or maybe Steve Erwin, the Crocodile Hunter, sent in this question.

I think that's probably the most
bizarre question I've ever gotten from 2000 Days! My
answer would have to be "why wouldn't they?" If you mean that the reptiles have
the same reasoning and thinking capabilities humans currently do, there's no reason to
think they wouldn't value romantic love.

I'm going to have to say, I really have no
idea at all. But an interesting question that I think we all should ponder.

I think
you have to be intelligent to know love, so sure.. Why not?
Nicci, 27

Perhaps eventually. I mean, we didn't even
have romantic love until the 16th century.
