What home improvement project is next on your list?

I'm going to hire someone to put gutters on the second story of my colonial.

Cathie, 53

We need to clear out our family room downstairs and re-do walls, flooring and lighting.... then clean out the fireplace and finish furnishing the room. I use the word "we" very lightly here. Basically, I plan to help with measuring and then stand about saying oooh and aaah a lot.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

There's more than one. One is started, that is painting the upstairs hallway. The other big one is a new bathtub for the master bath...it has a little crack problem in the floor. That doesn't bode well for the living room ceiling! We have the money and all. Now we just have to shop for the replacement:)

Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA

The bathroom.

Christine, 37
Syracuse, NY USA

We are planning on finishing our basement this spring/summer. It will take some money to do, but we think we've got it covered.

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

Cleaning out our walk-in closet.

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

Either new outside doors for the house or a new floor for the kitchen/dining

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA

Cleaning, if that counts.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

All I have is an apartment, but I do plan on buying a new vacuum.

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

My parents are having their bedroom redecorated next week.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

My townhouse is only two years old and a rental, so I don't have any home improvement projects in mind. I will, however, spend part of the weekend watching my grandchildren while my daughter and her husband install a new sliding door to their kitchen, which involves replacing a dry wall.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

New fence. We started it last year and I'm thinking I'll just hire pro's to finish it.

Alias Irrelevante

Either replacing the boiler or replacing the windows in the house. My theory with household projects is that they all cost $3000. New roof -- $3000. New boiler -- $3000. New windows -- $3000.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

Cleaning. Is cleaning a home improvement? If not, painting and drywalling my kitchen.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

Just finished painting a wall in my loft and now want to replace the linoleum in my bathroom.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

Rather than home improvements, I try to maintain the status quo and keep the dust and dog hair accumulation at inconspicuous levels.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

I need to patch a couple holes I punched in the wall before my landlord notices. I've got pictures in front of them right now. Man, I haven't punched a wall like that since middle school. I was really mad because a girl I was friends with had two dudes beat the crap out of me in the street the other night. I guess it's ime to get some new friends.

A-Dog, 20
Eugene, OR USA

everything improvement start small and work my way up

Hoochie

Sigh. There's always something, isn't there? Probably new kitchen cabinets or refinishing the wood floors in the dining room and master bedroom.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

The yard. I want to plant tons of rose bushes.

Stephanie, 25
TX USA

To remodel my master bath.

KarenNJ, 25
Milltown, NJ USA

This isn't exactly home improvement...but the next thing I'm planning on doing to make my house look nicer is to buy a new couch!

Tam

The next home improvement om my list is a new wood looking vinyl floor in my kitchen that has needed it for several years.
