How good are you at keeping a straight face when you really have to?

absolutely horrendous! : (

Cara, 18

Keeping a straight face is not a problem. Holding an expression of compassionate interest is sometimes very difficult.

Really good. Working with the public, you sometimes get challenged trying to keep a straight face ... especially if they are talking about something really serious and you just can't get your eyes away from the horrendous outfit they are wearing!

Fisch, 47

As a reporter for almost 20 years, I have been in many situations where I have had to keep a straight face, so I am well-trained. Also, as a Southerner, I am well-trained to be polite and considerate. Doesn't mean I don't laugh my ass off later, but I maintain composure at the moment.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Although I can't hold back a laugh if something is really funny, I can usually keep a straight face if I need to.

Judy, 62

Absolutely hopeless.

Aly, 17

No, that I can't do.

if i really have too keep a straight face i can usually do it. What I'm really good at though is not letting people know if i'm serious or joking about things. I guess that's more of a poker face.

Terrible!

I'm very good at it. My wife hates it, too. One night a friend and I went out to a bar. We left about
12:30 and as we were leaving, our wives called. My friend told them we got into a fight and that we were with the cops and couldn't talk. We called them back about 10 minutes later... they said they were on their way to meet us. We told them no, that the cops were letting us go. They got home shortly after we did and we played it off for a good 15 minutes... they weren't too happy when we finally let on that it was a joke. The whole time, we both kept straight faces. Needless
to say, we were both in the doghouse for the night, but it sure was funny!

Terrible. I always giggle.

I am extremely poor at this skill, especially if I am with my siblings in church.

Felicia, 37

Pretty good. I deal with all minds of people and sometimes you have to be a good actor. Of course, when they have left the room, now that's another story.

When I really have to? Well, I've had a lotta years of drama/acting traing and that does come in handy.

Not too bad.
