What happened in 2002 that you will never forget?

I spend a week on Grand Cayman celebrating two friends' nuptuals, which was fantastic. Also, some overall nastiness when down at work in the Spring which was very demoralizing.

A couple memorable things happened - one good, one bad. The good thing is that I met Mary, a woman who is my soulmate and who will be my friend forever. Bad? When we moved back to Gaithersburg, I hired a moving company to pack and unpack all our belongings and do the moving for us. I'd never used a moving company before and didn't realize that my expectations were
unrealistic. Our move ended up costing us A LOT and was almost as difficult as if we had done it ourselves. I cried for a day, threatened to sue the company, then decided to just put the whole
experience behind me - to forget it and go on with my life. But I did learn a valuable lesson that day. Too bad I had to learn it the hard way.

The one thing in 2002 that I will never forget is meeting Doug. I first met him on January 18, but became better friends with him during the following months, and I've grown to love him, and he feels the same. This year has been the best so far, and it only seems to be getting better.

I got married, went on my honeymoon, had surgery, got a house, got a Christmas tree, got my first
paid-in-money proofreading job, rode on a train in the mountains, and had so many memorable moments that I can't count them all. There's so much memory-worthy stuff that I'm not sure I'll even have room for it all in my brain!
