When are you totally at peace?

After a workout...note to self: get back in peace.

Alias Irrelevante

I will let you know when/if that day should arrive...taking the assumption that I am never truly at peace as a given...here are the closest points to being totally at peace...1) When I was in Alaska...both times...that was my Paradise City...I should have been born in Alaska...but oh, well, somebody I will be back...B) I am somehwat a peace when I am writing...that is when I can chill...to a certain extent. I mean, that is when I can escape into the world of the characters I created...and forget the mid numbing drudgery that is my life...or 'My So Called Life' 2) When I go for walks/hikes...I love to walk/hike...To quote this purple lovin' guy at work, it keeps my sane...it just does, I can't explain how....I do it more for the mental benefits...the physical is a byproduct...
C) Reading...I love to escape into the world of ancient Greece, Rome, and times of long ago...it helps me retain my grip on reality...like there is a fine line between sanity and insanity...and I try to walk that line...I know, this sounds totally pathetic...that I need to escape...however, doing brain dead work all day long...I need to

Early in the morning, before anyone else gets up and before the day's problems 'set in'. The morning before Christmas was especially peaceful - I got up at about 5, sat in the darkened living room with only the lights of our Christmas tree on, and listened to a CD of Christmas carols. My Persian cat sat in my lap and as I petted her, I was totally at peace.

When I am laying in bed with my wife, almost at the point of sleep, but not quite... just listening to her breathing while she sleeps... those are the most peaceful moments I will ever have in my life.

When I sleep, definately...when I'm in the woods hiking, when I'm out in the boat sailing...when I hear my son's laughter.
