Do you believe a virgin birth is possible?
Yes, thanks to
artificial insemination.

Of course, it's
called science and the ability to implant the egg and the sperm into a
womb without
actual intercourse. If, of course, you are referring to the miracle of
the Virgin Mary and Our Lord Jesus, then I think you must be religious
and strong in your beliefs.

The way science
is discovering new things, I won't question the possibility of a virgin
birth. I do question its relevance. As a Church of England vicar pointed
out in a recent survey, it was a cultural convention in Biblical times
to ascribe honor to important people by attributing special

Yes I do. Not simply
because because I religous book told me so. I feel that biologicaly weird
things tend to happen from time to time. I feel that could be entirely
possible for a freakish thing like a virgin birth to occur in nature.

Oh Geez....I don't
know. I hate getting into religious discussions!

Well you'd have
to define "virgin". Is a virgin a) someone who has never had
men's sperm in her before, or is it b) someone who's never had sex before?
If a) then no If b) then... well I don't know that much about the latest
technology but what are those test tube babies? Can't a virgin women get
pregnant that way?

If you believe
in God (which I do) and that He created the universe and all living things
(by whatever means) then the step to believing that He can produce a virgin
birth is really quite a small one.

It would take me
a full day to properly respond to this question ~ another day to justify
my response ~ so I'll bow out gracefully here but will be interested to
see some of the other answers.

There are factual
truths and spiritual truths and symbolic truths. Recently cloning seems
to be in secular fashion.

Of course. I was
born a virgin. But if you mean, a birth to a virgin mother, I also have
to say "of course." All that's required for mammalian pregnancy
is that a sperm cell meets an egg cell. That doesn't HAVE to mean that
entry by a penis occurs.

Scientifically,
of course it's possible...sperm is pretty resilient. But a virgin birth
through intercourse with the spirit of God...I don't think so.

Do
you mean Mary's virgin birth? I think medically a virgin woman can be
artificially inseminated and give birth.
