In your Christmas shopping, did you buy any gifts that you knew would be
just PERFECT for the recipient?
Not this year,
but I have in years past.

Well, considering
that I asked said recipients for a list...of course said items would be
right...but it
sure takes out the element of surprise...Of course, that Reba gal got
a gift for that freak Lerch...that was right on the money...good call
Reba...having heavy metal blasting in Lerch's ears at full volume...reallly
relaxes him...or so he says

Over the years
I've learned if people say, "I would like you to give me an _____
that they really want a ____. I've purchased mostly ______s this year,
but I've added trashy novels, landsjagger, symbolic calendars and my surprises
for people I'm very fond of, but not on present giving

I bought my boyfriend
a CD/MP3 player for his car that I know he will love because everytime
we go to walmart together, he shows it to me. That and now he'll be able
to minimize the amount of CD's in his car.

Isn't that the
hope of every Holliday shopper?

At work I sit next
to a woman who doesn't talk much about herself. I get her a gift every
year and it's always so hard. All that I know about her is that she LIVES
for her grandchildren and is very interested in her appearance. She buys
a lot of clothes and is very particular that her nails and hair are just
so. I had no idea what to get her this year but then I was walking through
the Discovery Channel store and saw a Nail Kit...a battery-powered 'thing'
with attachments to push back your cuticles, trim them, file your nails,
and polish them. Perfect!

For my son, yes.
I'm not sure about everyone else. I'm sure they'll LIKE what I got for
them, but absolutely perfect, I don't know.

A couple of them
happen every year, but I wished it happened more often...like every time
for every person :)

No--I always feel
like it may not be perfect. But then it turns out fine. I doubt myself
on stuff like that.

Yes. I found the
perfect gift for one of our granddaughters and another for one of our
grandsons.

We bought one gift
that we knew would be absolutely perfect for who it was going to... and
we bought it back in April while we were on our honeymoon. A friend of
ours is a huge Superman fan. We found a Superman baseball jersey, and
not a cheap one, this one was authentic. The price was steep but we couldn't
pass it up and it was the only one they had. We gave it to him and he
absolutely loved it. It was truly the perfect gift.

no way! I only
purchase christmas items that I would enjoy. I have to only assume that
the person I am giving the item would like as much as I would.

My
one son loves Heinz Ketchup. He goes through a bottle a week. I found
him a soap dispenser that was shaped like a Heinz Ketchup dispenser. I
ordered it out of the catalogue, ( I was willing to spend just about $20
for this thing with tax and shipping) and the company does not have any
more and discontinues the item. I was soooo disappointed. I would have
made my son's
