Do you feel you have much impact on the lives of those you come in contact
with?
In a sense, yes.
Not a huge impact, but somewhat of an impression and sometimes even just
a chuckle or a thought to ponder. Good question Reba!

Yes. I have a huge
impact on the lives of my kids, obviously. At work I am the programmer
who handles the billing (they joke that if I weren't there, no one would
get paid). I am also the only Asian and the only real Buckeye (Michigan
has lots of Wolverines), so I shape their perception of Asians and Buckeyes
(I hope for the good). My boss says I have helped make us a good group
by my attitude; that was because I was one of the first ones hired, which
put me in the position of helping the others get acclimated and more or
less setting the tone of the workplace. At church
I'm a pretty good lector. I often get compliments after Mass, and I'm
hoping that means the medium helped them get the message. Long, long ago,
I was a Girl Scout leader. Once I was grousing to my sister-in-law about
how much work it was and she encouraged me to stick with it. She said
it was good for the girls to see me in a leadership role and that I was
probably the only Chinese person any of them knew.

No. I don't have
much impact on anything. :P

Yes, ever since
I started working at the hospital.

I think, whether
we ever know it or not, every meeting -- even a chance meeting -- effects
someone else's life and/or your own.

Not many, but definately

I try to make it
a point to be a positive influence - be kind, be thoughtful, be pleasant.
Beyond that, I don't know what kind of impact I have.

On my full-time
job: yes (it's part of the job). On the local arts scene: a very minor
influence but the bands are always happy to see me.

I doubt that I
am powerful enough to modify the lives of strangers. I'm sure that I have
some impact on people whose lives overlap my own life.

I don't know, and
it'd be pretentious of me to guess.

Other than my family,
not usually, but once in a while I do feel that. It's a nice feeling.

Hell no...I certainly
hope not....of course, my brother certainly impacts me...some would say
for the
worse...some would say for the better...but I certainly hope have no impact
on anybody I come in
contact with...

Definitely - I
think I've made something of a significant impact on the lives of my loved
ones, particularly one girl at my college who I love more than anything
else - I think my presence there and friendship with her have made a difference
in her life as well as mine.

Only with a select
few. I think passing aquaintences are fleeting and no impact can be made,
but I am sure I have impacted my friends and family's lives in some ways
throughout the years.

I hope so!

Yes! Most definitely!
Everyday somebody impacts mine.

No, I don't.

Of course. Doesn't
everyone.

I think I have
some impact on those I interact with, and even a positive one at that.

Certainly. You
never know what seed you may plant and how it comes to fruition. Sometimes
the smallest of words may have a big impact on someone.
Janet,

Of course I do.

Apparently,
I do have some influence over some people...at least one of the 2000 days
eople...i.e., said person got a mythology software game for herself...according
to her, based on the fact that mythology is totally my bag..and she would
not have gotten said mythological software game...if I do not talk about
mythology so much...whatever.
