What
is the best gift you received this holiday season (if you have a tradition of exchanging
gifts)? My (as of right now nameless) bear from my boyfriend.
Angela, 18
Bella Vista, AR USA
I collect cranberry glass. My two sons and
my husband each bought me a piece. I received a single bud vase from each son with a rose
and my husband got me a small vase.
Janet, 44
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
I received several perfectly nice presents,
none of which were noteworthy.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
Diamond stud earrings from my husband. I
couldn't believe it when I saw them!!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
The best gift I got is a headset cordless
hands free phone. I love it and Was surprised to get it. My second best gift was a digital
camera.
Marci, 56
Diamond, OH
USA
my parents gave me a video camera
for Christmas. It is wonderful to be able to capture things like my toddler playing naked
basketball in the living room in all its
silliness.
Maggie, 22
Sandwich, IL
USA
The best gift I received was family. This
year, Kevin and I went to 3 different famly holiday partys celebrating Christmas and
family. It was wonderful.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
Sapphire, White Gold, and Diamond bracelet
from my beloved.
Firelady, 23
Dallas, TX
USA
The gift of love from my boyfriend.
Nicole2, 20
FL USA
I think this may be the first year that
Christmas presents weren't more important than being with my family. Perhaps I am ever so
gradually growing up.
Karen2, 15
Boston, MA
USA
I got a lot of great stuff. : )
Karen, 22
Marshalltown/Ames, IA USA
A scarf! It keeps me so warm :)
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH
USA
These beautiful muck-luk (sic) boots.
There's totally un-PC because their made out of buckskin and have real fur arround the
tops, but I comepletely adore them. And they're from my Grams, which make them twice as
special.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
the "I love you" locket from my
daughter
Nikki2, 28
NV USA
The best 'gift' was not a 'gift' in the
traditional sense of the world. A relative helped me prepare for interview questions...and
tried to find me job contacts in Alaska...(which said person has)...which totally reeks of
awesomeness.
Frodo
age unknown, parts unknown
My best gift this year was being
able to have my family alive and healthy and with me. ( this year material things did not
mean anything.)
Rose, 40
NY USA
My husband and I exchange coupons every
year. This year I gave him 4 hours worth of "Just Five More Minutes" coupons. He
gave me coupons to support my campaign to get one of our dogs to sleep someplace other
than in our bed, 3 additional hours at a social function of my choice (I can split the
hours up over social events), and a coupon for letting the dogs in and out even at 3:00 in
the morning. But the best part of the coupons are the pictures he draws to go with them.
They are hysterical. This year's coupons are going to be framed.
Laura, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
My sister flying home for the first
Christmas in seven years.
Felicia, 35
Lowell, MA
USA
Cd's Deftones: White Pony & No Doubt:
Rock Steady
Patty
Family pictures and a very sweet note from a
young woman we've been able to help through some hard times.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I received so many wonderful gifts
but perhaps the one that stood out the most to be and really struck a chord was a wall
hanging my daughter gave to me. It's a half moon with
stars around it and completing the circular shape of the hanging is a small mirror. I had
one years ago and it broke....so this meant a lot to me.
Fisch, 46
Preston, CT
USA
Gift giving certainly isn't the biggest deal
in my tradition, but I got a couple of nice things. My Dad gave me and two friends money
to go have an amazing dinner at Lawry's the Prime Rib. That's probably the best.
Eric, 19
Beverly Hills, CA USA
uh..
....probably my nephew letting me give him something. .
