If you were an animal at the zoo, what would you want in your cage?

This is a great question! When I read it I think of Charlton Heston in a cage in The Planet of the Apes. If I was in a cage representing the human race I'd want weights and make-up so I could keep looking good. A mirror, too. If I was an animal, what I'd want in my cage would depend on what kind of animal I was.

Two trees, a hammock between them and a pool. And plenty of  flowers.

I'd like a spacious cage with greenery, running water and a private lair so I could rest from my adoring public and cage mates.

Harrison Ford, so I could eat him up.

Obvious Joke: A key. Real answer: tin cup to bang against the bars while singing songs I only know two lines from.

A comfortable place to sleep - away from public viewing...music...many varied food items, water...some playthings, and a cage-mate of course.

A mate!

Live plants and running water- like a waterfall, or something. If I had to be kept in a cage for the rest of my life, I'd want it to be as naturalistic as possible.

The ZooKeeper, so I could eat him and go back to where animals belong.

I would be the elusive, rare animal that needs a pool, ac, and a tv and radio.

Ugh. Tons of space and hiding places and at least one fellow creature I loved. But humans are animals in zoos and they don't even stay in cages.

If I were an animal, I would want to be an orangutan. I would only want neat stuff in my cage. Stuff to climb on, hide in, eat... Neat stuff.

A hole big enough for me to fit through.

If I were a Human in a zoo? Or an animal? If I were a human in some sort of weird Star Trek-like alien zoo, I'd like to have lots of books, a computer with the Internet, a trampoline, a cushy king sized bed, lots of potted plants, my own garden, my son and dogs, a big tree with a tire swing and tree house, a pond, a kayak, a CD player with a collection of CD's, paper to draw on and lots of fresh fruit. (It would have to be a big cage!) If I were an animal, all I think I would need would be a lot of room, a natural habitat, a comfy, dry bed or den, a mate and healthy food.
