If
you woke up tomorrow and found yourself only able to speak in a foreign language, which
language would you prefer? Spanish. It's musical and I love to listen to it.
Judy, 62
Easton, KS
USA
Spanish.
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
That afican language where they click.
That's just cool!
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
If I had the same command of this
hypothetical foreign language that I do of English, the language itself wouldn't matter.
The fluency of my companions would make a considerable difference.
Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I guess Spanish - I think a lot more folks
might understand what I'm trying to say, at least somewhat.
Fisch, 47
Preston, CT
USA
Well, that might depend on where I woke up,
since it would be most useful to speak the local language. If I woke up in an
English-speaking country, however, I'd probably pick Spanish, which is used in many areas
of the world.
Jane, 62
West Linn, OR
USA
Greek or Latin...that would totally
reek of awesomeness...so I could better understand
those ancient Greek and Roman writings...without having them translated...
Patrocles, 30
GREECE
French so that I could help my daughter do
better in that language. She has a French teacher that is Russian and and now all the kids
speak French with a Russian accent.

Spanish, I guess. At least there'd be
someone around who would understand me.
Firelady, 24

German or French. Ha. I already speak those
languages.
Laura, 37
Lowell, MA USA
Gack! Spanish, I suppose, because hopefully
Bill would at least have SOME idea of what I was talking about.

Cambodian. It would come in handy in Lowell.

Hmm... German or Korean, although
I'd prefer to keep English. Even though I love German
and I feel I should take Korean, I feel lucky to have English as my first language- it's
one of the few languages that is spoken pretty much everywhere, in some form or another.
Jeremy, 14
Highlands Ranch, CO USA
I would love to know how to speak French
fluently. My husband lived in France for awhile and is an expert in French. We have French
novels around and CDs by his favorite French singer Mireille Mathieu.
Reba, 50+

Scots-Gaelic or celtic...
Nicci, 27

British. Cuz it's not that different from
English! Actually, I don't know if British is another language so probably French. A dark
romance language....
Em, 16

German, because I like the way it sounds.
