Where you ever "Bullied" in school?
Yeah, a bit when
I was in grade school. I was a very fat kid.

NO. I was always
at least a head taller than anyone else in school. Too big to mess with.
I was taller than most of my teachers. I was 5'9" in 5th grade. (remember
I am a girl) and 5'11 by 7th grade. I was picked on and called Jolly Green
Janet or Big Bird (My mother bought my a yellow
poncho -

No. No one ever
tried to bully me and I wasn't a bully, either.

I can't say that
I was bullied, but I was picked on because I was scrawny, had wild hair,
buck teeth and wore glasses. The best two weeks of my life in elementary
school were when I got my hair cut in a gypsy shag which was very flattering.
But my mom didn't want to fool with my hair every morning, so when it
went back to its normal wildness, my 15-minutes of popularity wore off.
Sad. I wish there was a way to communicate to children how mean their
words and actions can be.

Who hasn't been
bullied in school? Only the bully?

A few times through

Yep... My Sophomore
year of high school... A junior named Danny Langley was my nemesis. For
most of the first semester, he bullied me, taunted me, scared the bejeezus
out of me. Over Christmas break, I was on a date at a movie. He walked
in with his girlfriend and sat down right in front of us (of course, he
had to glare at me for a bit). I got up and walked out, embarrassed because
I was with a girl. The day we went back to school after break, he confronted
me in
the hall, pushed me against a locker, grabbed me by the front of my shirt
and called me a "pussy" for not going to the "party"
over christmas. I snapped. I broke his hands free, pushed him back and
told him, calmly, that I hadn't known about any party and that I was tired
of his shit. I asked him if he was ready to end it now, go outside and
fight me. I told him I knew he'd probably kick my ass, but I didn't care,
I do some damage. He looked at me for a few seconds and said, "'bout
time you stood up for yourself." He never bothered me after that.

Ohhh yes. In high
school. I'll never forget it ~ but it wasn't because I was dorky or overweight...
it was during the racial rioting in the late 60s early 70s ... and I was
viewed as an easy target.

Yes. My grade were
high, I was female and I lived on "Snob Hill". Obviously I just
thought I was Smart Because and had to be taken down a peg.

No, never. I had
arguments with others, but I was never bullied.

Yeah, I used to
get my ass kicked in grade school. Every single kid in my class was somehow
related to everyone else except me, so they just beat the shit out of
me all the time.

Once in a while.
For the most part kids ignored me in grade school. In junior and senior
high school I had plenty of friends.

Yes, on occasion.
I remember one time when I was about 8 or 9, two bullies from my bus walked
behind me and kept kicking at me and kicking dust at me. They didn't hurt
me, but when I got home I was so humiliated by what happened that I went
running to my father crying hysterically. Well, it so happens that my
father called the father of one of those boys. The bully boy's father
came to my house that evening, dragging his son with him. He actually
made the boy kneel at my feet and beg my forgiveness...all the while beating
the poor kid in front of me! It was terrible! I felt so bad for the poor
kid, so embarrassed by what I was seeing that I ran out of the house,
hid in
the bushes and bawled!

Not sure if I have
anything that has caused me so much pain it seem to linger. There are
of couse, unrequited loves, lost competitions, and career stumbles, but
none walk with me day to day.

Yes. All thru gade
school. I hated it. Never wanted to go to school. I make sure that my
children know that you don't have to be cruel to some one you don't like.
It could be you the next day.

Slightly. But after
dealing with my dad they always came across as amateurs and couldn't get
much of a reaction from me. They moved on.
