Do you ever wish that you could see yourself as others see you?
Often. I suspect
that people rarely see me as I see myself, but how can you tell?
Judy,

Occasionally, but
generally I am content with my own view of myself.
Jane,

West Linn, OR USA
occasionally i
get curious about how other people see me, but for the most part im content
with just knowing the way i see myself

I think everyone
has at some point or another. I've wondered what new friends think, guys,
interviewers, etc. But if you think about it too much you could make yourself
miserable!
Tracy,

No. I'll admit
to occasionally wonderring what others think of me, but I'm not that concerned
with it.

Irrelevante
Not really. I wish
others could see me as I see myself deep inside.
Felicia,

I haven't thought
about it much. I guess it would be kinda neat.Yikes! Then again, maybe
not so neat!

Let me put it to
you like this...I wish I could see myself like a couple of you 2000 people
see me...and said people know who they are...I do not know how most people
see me...although, I do
know what I would think...If I saw a 31 year old dude, working in the
file room for 5 years+, doing brain dead work...losing money after working
for 5 years...and having to bus it too work...and hates his job...I know
what I would think of said person...said person being me...Hey, whatever
is my bag...

Yes, all the time.
Ashley,

I was raised to
try to see myself as other see me. My objectivity isn't perfect, but I'm
confident of 90% accuracy.
Jill,

Yes, I do wish
that...but I might not like what I see, so I guess it's better the way
it is!
Tam
Lots of times.
I definitely perceive myself as being loud and obnoxious (not always,
but often enough). I'd like to know if people are just being nice when
they tell me that I'm not.
Laura,

All the time. I'd
love to know what my friends and family really think about me.
Aly,

Yes. But I mean
that literally. Do you realize that when you look at yourself in the mirror,
you are see the reverse of what everyone else sees. So I would like to
see myself as someone else does. As for anything deeper than that, I don't
know.
Cindy,

Sometimes I do
but when it comes right down to it, the answer would be no.
Reba,
57
Gaithersburg, MD USA
Yes. My relatives
and friends are almost all too polite to tell anyone if they are being
annoying. If
I could see myself as they see me, I might be able to prevent my little
faults from becoming big ones sooner. Now that I am getting older, I have
safety concerns, too. I wonder if anyone will tell me in time when I should
stop driving and when I should stop living alone.
Cathie,

Not really. I'm
happier being oblivious. I have seen myself on video and thought that
I looked fake--like I was acting and a really bad actor. The truth is
that I didn't FEEL fake at all. So I'd rather not know how I look to other
people.

Naw - Too complicated.
Stephanie,

That
would be great. Also to be a fly on the wall and hear what they are saying
about me.
Laney,

Yes
I would. I would also like to be the opposite gender for a day and see
what that is like.
Janet,

Yeah,
I wonder what other people think of me all the time.
A-Dog,

Yes.
I have a bit of a self-esteem problem, and I have a hard time seeing what
things I do right and what I contribute to a group and such. My friends
and my significant other always tell me good things about myself that
I can't see on my own, so it would be wonderful, just for a day, to
see myself and accept myself for what others see in me, not the faults
