If you saw someone cheating on a test, what would you do?

I would go up to the mandator of the test and tell whoever is in charge

Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH USA

I probably wouldn't do a thing. It's their loss.

Felicia, 37
Lowell, MA USA

At my current age, I would turn the cheater in. If I am taking a test, I am assuming everyone else is around my age - adults - and certainly should not be cheating. As a teen or college student, I don't think I would have done it.

Cindy, 41
VA USA

Turn them in.

Cathie, 53
Novi, MI USA

"i have neither given or received nor have i tolerated others' use of unauthorized aid" thats the honor code we have to put on everything we do here. however unless it was something completely outrageous, i probably wouldnt say anything.

Cara, 18
Valparasio, IN USA

Give them a thurough spanking.

Talia, 25
Tallahassee, FL USA

If I saw someone cheating i would probley not do anything, i mean yes its bad, but i would
rather not be a tatle-tell which would probley cause my life to be detrimental. My day was ok, nothing really big happened, nor anything really small. My friend has been out sick this whole week because she has a migrain, though my friends suspect that she is faking it. We were talking about the war in my u.s. history class, and we were asked how we felt about the whole thing. i am really in vacillation about it. I mean, I don't think that the war is right, because 2 wrongs dont make a right, but would iraq have invadded us, and killed more people if we don't go in there and stop them? Iraq did provoke us by doing the 9/11 thing but i always though that if someone hits you, you dont hit back. That why I can see where both sides are coming from, but the even though we say we are going to rebuild Iraq, it seem that we have made their lifes worse. Like some citys
are worse off than before and do not have any clean water or food, and so many people are
dieing from this. I really don't know what to think anymore. Its just depressing. And all of
these things added on to my regular life just, well somethimes its too much to handle.

Jannell, 16
AZ USA

Inform the professor or the proctor, of course.

Jill, 61
Saylorsburg, PA USA

Absolutely nothing.

Keri-Jade, 23
Brampton, Ontario CANADA

If I wasn't prepared, Id cheat too.

Stephanie, 27
TX USA

Probably nothing.

Ashley, 20
Jacksonville, FL USA

If they were cheating from my paper, I'd have a good hearty laugh! They might be surprised at their grade. If I spotted them cheating from someone else or from cheat-sheets, I would do nothing... I couldn't care less.

Fisch, 47
Preston, CT USA

I'd be angry, but quite honestly, I probably wouldn't say anything....unless of course, I were the teacher or professor!

Tam

It doesn't really come up a lot. In most situations, I'd just ignore it. Cheating on a test is more likely to hurt someone in the long run than help them, so it's really their loss. If I felt that someone other than the cheater was getting hurt in the process, though, I'd probably report it.

Karen, 23
Ames, IA USA

I'd turn them in.

Laura, 38
Lowell, MA USA

We're being honest here, right? I'm ashamed to admit that I'd probably do nothing. I'm one of those sorry individuals that "don't like to get involved."

Reba, 57
Gaithersburg, MD USA

I doubt I'd do anything. Maybe tell my friends later, but I doubt I'd directly do anything to get them into trouble.

Aly, 17
Cardiff UK

Ignore it. What goes around, comes around.

Christine, 37
Syracuse, NY USA

Probably nothing unless I was the teacher. Then I'd flunk him.

Judy, 62
Easton, KS USA

I would mind my own business.

Laney, 60
TX USA

If the situation permitted, I would speak to the person. Otherwise, I'd draw it to the attention of the supervisor.

Jane, 63
West Linn, OR USA

Most likely I'd ignore it. To each his/her own. If that person wants to cheat to get a good score, so be it. I'd rather get my score legitimately.

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

Any of my old girlfriends... my friends (and in some cases, my family) are ruthless when it comes to that!

Doug2, 30
Kansas City, KS USA

Copy their answers.

A-Dog, 20
Eugene, OR USA

Probably ignore it.

Janet, 45
E. Brunswick, NJ USA
