We have AWOL foreign students who seem to want the American life without much effort and hard working wetbacks who sacrifice for their families.
By the term immigrants, I'm assuming you mean "legal" immigrants. It's a part of the American way. We are supposed to believe in freedom for all people... does that apply to only those we choose to let into our country?
I think if the person is willing to work and not be a burden to society, why not?
I'm all in favor of them if they are able and willing to become productive members of society. I think many of our policies concerning immigration are very arbitrary.
Immigrants are fine if they do it legally. Sneaking in and burdening our nation is wrong. I pay taxes to run the government and provide for defense, not to give handouts.
We are a nation of immigrants. I think in the long run we are better off for having them in the United States than not.
