I am a practicing Catholic, so naturally, I wassaddened the news...as were millions of Catholics, andnon-Catholics alike.Of course, he was not afraid of death.
The death of any world leader raises questions of what impact a change in leadership will have.
I've been crying off and on for the last several days. I love John Paul II and even though I know he's in a better place, I miss him.
A bit drawn out.
He was old and frail. It was his time.Choosing his successor will be a big media event. They've been discussing his posible replacements for years.Let the media circus begin!
Well, I suppose he's in Heaven now.
To use an old-fashioned frame of reference, the pope made a "good death". He died with dignity at the end of a meaningful life.
I disagreed with many of his dictates, I hope his successor is a little more open minded. The pope was not a hero to me.
