Something I could buy low, then have it zoom and sell high, of course. I haven't made any changes in my stock holdings lately, because the market is too volatile.
I remember a story a few years back about a group of old ladies with money who decided the only way to convince large companies to act responsibly was to buy them. They actually bought stock in companies they had their differences with and used that as a way to meet with the suits on a regular basis. They were able to get the companies to give more to the community and carry more goods from local manufacturers. As much as I'd love to change Wal Mart I think they're a little too big for me. I'd start with some mid-level retail agents.

Since I know nothing about the stock market, I'd consult with my cousin, a stockbroker.
Investment is a business, not a game.

I've chosen earth-friendly and socially conscious businesses through my 403b plan at work.
