He was president when I was growing up. My parents were Democrats, but I couldn't help but amire our president. After all, he was the leader of our entire country. He passed away not long ago. I'm fascinated by his life. Successful in Hollywood, successful in politics. His skills in the first (as well as his experience as President of SAG) obviously helped with the second. He accomplished an incredible amount for one man. His policies, for better or for worse, directed our government, and our military spending, long after he left office.
In a way, he continues to influence us through his wife, Nancy, and her efforts in promoting stem cell research as a cure for Alzheimer's.
(I saw CD in the comedy section of the local Borders. It was entitled Stand Up Reagun and appeared to be funny soundbites from political speeches and other media events.)
I not qualified to answer this question, since I have only be on Earth for 8 or nine presidents. I will say this: That is a tough gig, which I would never want:

My favorite statesman of all-time is Pericles.
Thomas Jefferson, Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson.
Don't have one.
Clinton was great for satire, especially on Saturday Night Live.
Teddy Roosevelt, for his combination of brains, activism, and wit. William Howard Taft, because of a family connection.
In my lifetime? Bill Clinton as president. Jimmy Carter, not as president but his exemplary life. Favorite president ever? Abraham Lincoln.
