I didn't think to look for a groundhog.
No, but the groundhog is irrelevant. In Michigan we always get six more weeks of winter.
No, though I heard on the radio that a local groundhog, Woody, in Howell, MI, predicted an early spring. Looking at the weather outside, I think she's wrong.
Punxsutawny Phil, whose prediction gets broadcast nationally, predicted 6 more weeks of winter. He's probably right on this.

Only in news photos. The morning sky was clouded, but the sun burned off the haze very quickly. Six more weeks of winter--but only six weeks.
