Well, since I am taking PL/SQL and Visual Basic Programming, I would hope I would learn something...even though my first class started on 1/24/05. I learned about the basic structure of PL/SQL programming. I learned some basic stuff. I learned how the WWW was developed...and I learned what SOAP stands for...and I learned that my Thyroid count is way too high...so I made a Drs. appointment for Thursday to get it checked out...and fix what is wrong with it...

I learned that the sun will start to cool in another 5 billion years. I learned about the changing culture of the Bedouin (many like that their kids are able to get a better education than they had).

I have learned that history is constantly being written and rewritten as historians gain new perspectives on past events. Past events are continually debated.
For example, not everyone agrees about what caused the American Civil War of 1861-1865. It appears to me that it was a combination of events and it's difficult to determine causality. I believe the Holocaust occurred, as in the organized and intentional slaughter of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and other undesirables lead by the Nazi Party during World War II. Some people believe this didn't happen. Some people believe that Shakespeare didn't really write all his plays.
I believe that there may always be debate over the true causes of historical events and what impact events of the past have over the present and the future.
