I don't understand the question,

I assume that the question refers to various government departments having paid public figures to advance government positions.

I resent having my tax money used to convince me of the governments wisdom--particularly without any indication that the spokespeople have been paid.

If they're paying for the news, they get to control the news. We want the truth. We don't want potential slanted versions or potential outright lies.

A public relations person or press consultant is okay. They help keep the media from harrassing officials and allow busy politicians to release their version of a story.

The press should be free to print the truth.
