I donated a bit of money to help out with tsunami-related difficulties, and I promptly regretted it after finding out that hitting cows with planes seems to be people's idea of "relief."
I thought I already answered this question...but this weird blogger thingmajig has me totally discombobulated..so here is the 411...
Yes, I absolutely did, as a matter of fact. Mainly to help the people who died, lost lives, and were just horribly affected by it. Also, a friend of mine used to live in Sri Lanka. Fortunately, none of her family was hurt, I was relieved to here.
I made a small donation to a local church which has a presence in the area. I think it is more important to continue donating to my usual charities. Need does not dissappear because a more dramatic need surfaces.

Absolutely. I felt like I HAD to. Not much, but every bit helps those poor people.
Yes, I made a modest gift to the Northwest Medical team, which already has established a presence in the affected area.
Yes. I gave to the Red Cross through Amazon.com and today I gave $5 for a Dress-Down Day at work.

We gave money through our church.
Not yet.
Yes, I did, through AOL...but I'm a bit skeptical as to how this money will actually be used.
