This year I bought gifts for 9 people, mostly children. On my side, if you are under a particular age, you are a "child" and everyone buys you a present. If you are over, you are an "adult" and you pull an adult's name and buy that person a present. In my immediate family I always buy presents for my daughters. CathieA, 55, Novi, MI

12 3/5.
I've bought as many as forty gifts and as few as two.
This year I didn't buy many gifts at all for Christmas. Just movie passes for my nieces and nephews.
I buy gifts for about 12 to 15 people. Some of them may get more than one present, and some may share a present.
