As in, shoot critters? No, I don't need them for sustenance and it's certainly not "sport" to kill things for the heck of it.

I do not hunt myself, but I recognize that deer herds must be culled. I've seen deer starving at the end of the winter and I've seen local woodland ecology destroyed forever through overgrazing.

No, not for animals at least. A good bargain, occasionally.

No, as I haven't yet learnt to use a gun properly. Most of my friends do, and I plan on learning when I have time. I don't fox hunt as I have never liked horse-riding, but I do often follow the hunt on foot. I can't stand city dwellers who condemn hunting, when their prejudices are based on entirely uninformed preconceptions. I know I'm generalising here, but the majority of people are utterly misguided - they have no idea! They're trying to ban fox hunting with hounds here in England at the moment. What they don't realise is firstly that the hunt is nothing like the way people imagine it. In fact, more often than not, they never actually catch a fox, and frequently merely chase it off the farmers' land. Secondly, these animals have to be culled somehow. the alternative methods are far worse, and tend to be much less humane.
I musn't let myself started on this issue, or I'll go on for ages and bore everyone completely! I don't know about hunting in America, but in England this is such an ongoing argument, which so many people feel so strongly about, on both sides. Ultimately, those who want to ban it, are city dwellers who have no experience of it, and instead, want to take away our freedom to practise a sport (yes I know, many people will be outraged that we can call it a sport, but I'm not apologising) developed from centuries of tradition. It's not only recreational, but necessary. It's part of our heritage, and it's lasted for a reason.
