*shrug* I think it's just a word.
Its used like a dirty word, but it shouldn't be. Im proud to be liberal and wouldnt want to be any other way.
It isn't. Just like "Massachusetts" is a state (or commonwealth) and not an insult. Somebody should have clued Bush in on that one.
Words are not imbued with moral character. People react to words differently because people have diverging points of view.
For their own purposes, political and other societal groups have tried to impose meaning on this word that are not found in the dictionary.
Liberal is just a word. The Republican party tries to make it a dirty word, though.
The word 'liberal' annoys me because of all the different connotations people try to apply to it.
