The country is more divided than it has been since the Vietnam era. People seem increasingly determined to see things in black and white, when the issues are far too complex to be viewed in that way.
I think the U.S. citizens are not that far apart on what they want for themselves and the country. I think the rhetoric is divisive and that blocks meaningful dialogue.

I think that many Americans are misinformed about the ideas and opinions of other Americans. I see dialogue, not division.
