A scavanger hunt used to be part of birthday party entertainment during the '50's. A copper engraving of Abraham Lincoln was a penny. A picture of Dewitt Clinton could be found on the tax stamp of any cigarette pack.
During the '50's and '60's before Girl Scouts were forbidden to impinge on the wilderness, I used scavanger hunts as a part of nature study.
Yeah, I think I've done a few. No really memorable ones, though.
