What is the safest place you know?

I feel pretty safe where I am at. Not sure if there is a safest place.

My Mom's house. I'm sure it's not actually THE safest place to be in a storm or war, but it's where I feel safest. That's where my heart is.

Emotional safety -- with my husband. Physical safety -- the basement where my husband works. It was a designated air raid shelter.

I always felt quite safe at home. If we're talking about some nuclear disaster, I haven't a clue where I'd had to get to. I have to laugh though, when I was a kid in elementary school, the teachers would have us line up in the hallway and crouch down covering our heads in the event of an air-raid siren ~ which we seemed to have about once a month back then. Lot of good that was going to do anyone.

I'm not sure what you mean by "safe." I have always felt safe when I cross the mountains into southwestern Virginia where I was born and raised. I love living in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, but it is more open and exposed than the mountains of my birth. That said, there is nowhere that I feel more safe than in my husband's arms.
