brings you joy?The people I love. The beauty of nature. Certain works of
music.
Jane, 62 West Linn, OR USA My child's laugh. His squeal of delight when I return from work. An accomplishment. When a child I works with learns something. My dog at play. The changing leaves. A panoramic view. The smell of cinamon. My husbamd hugging me. A warm blanket on a cold night. A walk in the woods. The glimpse of a bird soaring overhead. The first spring car ride when the windows can be down. The twinkle in a child's eyes. A moment of understanding with a friend. My husband's homemade bread - with butter or honey. Time to myself. Time with my family. Finishing a difficult project. Celebrating someone elses feeling of success. An excited greeting from a child. A swim on a hot day. Friendship. Deb What brings me joy? Drinking Orange Juice when I am feeling sick (like now). Uh, my memories (in pictures) of The Legendary Big Guy Sarge, Axl Waxl, Shorty Worty, Iris, Sybil...and memories of all the animals that have passed through my life...and of course my current animals, Dilly Willy, Lars, Morph, Cam-corder, and Nike... Also, writing brings me joy...although I may absolutely no talent at it...it is my bag...so that is what brings me joy...Ancient history (like ancient Greece, Rome, the Vikings, and Egypt)...that stuff brings me joy...of course, the Word Wrestling Federation brings me joy...Guns N Roses...doing interactive tests on the computer (to determine how screwed up I really am)...walking brings me joy...Alaska will bring me job (futuristically speaking). Freaking people out brings me joy...being though of as weird/freakish brings me joy. Reading brings me joy (science fiction, classic, ancient history)...the smell of old books brings me joy...Taco Salad brings me joy...Smackdown/Raw is War brings me joy. The Simpsons bring me joy. My brother brings me joy. Going to my Aunt's for Thanksgiving, with her 5 dogs, brings me joy...uh, I guess that is enough... Frodo My job. I'm a theater technician and I love it. Ry, 23 Accomplishment - knowing that I have become a less messy person - achieving goals in the strategy games i play - paid time off - seeing my loves ones smile at me Firelady, 23 being in love and making others happy brings me joy Patty The people I love. The knowledge that I'll be out of school soon. Jill, 60 Too many things to list...my husband, family, friends, job, each student in my class at some point in the day, animals, watching the waves roll onto the sand, flowers, rain, chocolate....i could go on forever! Having my fiance tell me that he can't wait to spend the rest of his life with me. Anyone showing any amount of appreciation for something great or small that I did for them. And, of late, knowing in my heart of hearts that our nation will prevail - even if it means kicking some serious ass - that brings me joy. Fisch, 46 Lots of things bring me momentary pleasure but I don't think of "joy" as momentary but rather as a feeling of long duration. Jennifer, 19 my friends. a good book. a new CD that I've just burnt, talking to people I haven't talked to in ages, kisses from a beautiful boy, my writing, driving the "small car", finding awesome clothes that achually fit, joshua harris, mashed potatoes, black eyeliner, opening nigjht of a new movie, entertainment tonight, buses, kevin smith, and luckily, about sixty other things. :) Jaden, 21 My wife had to go to the emergency room yesterday while I was still at work. When I finally made it to the hospital, I was greeted with a shout of "Daddy!" and my three-year-old daughter bouncing into my arms. That brings me joy. (By the way, my wife is ok. The morale of the story is do NOT eat WOW potato chips. They contain Olean, a synthetic fat that is major pain on the digestive system.
