Do
you ever give gifts anonymously? The only way to truly give is to do it anonymously.
Eric, 19
Beverly Hills, CA USA
No, because I want the person(s) to
receive the gift to know it's from me. I want him/her to know that I love them.
Melodi, 19

Not that I can think of. I don't really see
the point.
Firelady, 23

out anyways.

No.

Not really. I left a chocolate rose on my
boyfriend's chair once before he was my boyfriend, but he knew who did it--especially
since his officemate told him. And I leave stuff for my mom, but she knows who it's from.
and I leave stuff for my roommates, but they know who it's from. So I don't know how much
the anonymity counts.

Yes my husband gave a couple checks in the
60's anonymously to a good friend that became disabled and we knew he would not accept the
money if we had just went to him to give it too him. we feel we have been blessed and it
has helped the friend at the time that is now deceased.

Very often my husband and I give charitable
gifts anonymously.
Laura, 36

Now that would defeat the purpose of
being anonymous, wouldn't it?

I have given both personal gifts and
contributions to recognized charities anonymously. "Do good by stealth," is an
excellent motto.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I've made a few anonymous donations, but
that's because one time I made a donation by check and ended up getting a ton of
junkmail.
Alias Irrelevante
Well, I send
things anonymouly in the mail, but its usually a vegetarian starter pack from PETA. I like
to send those every now and then to people that I know exactly what their address is.
Lisa J., 23

Rarely if ever.
Fisch, 46
Preston, CT

Yes.
Janet, 44

no
Patty

rarely because I like taking the credit too much.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
Every Christmas, I like to buy
presents for Toys for Tots and I enjoy giving gifts like gloves and scarves to the
unfortunate.
Jennifer, 19
Wilkes-Barre, PA USA
I've given gifts anonymously once or twice
and it's a VERY satisfying feeling but I find it hard to do. I guess I like the
recognition.

A couple of years ago, one of my best
friends had a baby four months premature. The child weighed 1.5 pounds at birth. Anyway,
she had to stay in the University of Iowa hospital for almost six months, during
which time her parents stayed at the Ronald McDonald house for fairly cheap. However,
being away from work was hurting them badly, so I left a gift of some twenty-dollar bills
on the dresser in their room. They wouldn't have taken it otherwise. That's the only
anonymous gift I can remember...except those "Secret Santa" things during
elementary school.
