Have
you ever received an award?Years and years ago. I got honors awards in middle school
and the Gold Award in Girl Scouts in high school. Does the dean's list in college count?
Tracy, 24

Not really since school days. I won
quite a number of awards for public speaking, debate, and interpretive reading in high
school. Some academicy type things in college. I have a
bowling trophy or two at my mom's house from my days as a teen leaguer. I have three
diplomas (those are kinda like awards, right?) As a working adult, nothing more than nice
certificates of compleletion / achievement for seminars and workshops - those really
aren't awards. I had a video piece included in a couple of festival / collections and I
did receive a grant last year to work on another website.

In high school I got a couple of
keys, one for language (I did advanced French
independent study) and one for yearbook (I was on the staff for three years, including one
as photo editor and another as copy editor). I've gotten some others but nothing really
interesting, not that high school keys are interesting.

Just a few of those cheesy web awards for my
personal site, a few "good citizenship awards" most kids got in grade school,
but nothing worth hanging on my wall.

Lots of karate awards, bronze, silver, and
gold honours awards for high school, um.. safety patroller of the year in '95 lol.

Yes, in school for academic achievement.

Tangible awards presented in formal
ceremonies? Probably not since childhood. Intangible awards with no ceremony? Frequently.

A couple.
Alias Irrelevante
Yes, but nothing really worth mentioning.

I'm sure I have. Nothing like the Nobel

I won two years in a row for best
male vocalist for my high school musicals. Does that count? I was Teen Angel in Grease,
and Lovin' Al' in Working. Woohoo A-Dog!

Yeah, I received a fishing trophy when I was
really little, that I'm ashamed of now. I was with an outing of boys in a royal rangers
(christian group for boys) group, because my brother was going. And my mom took me along,
and a man from the church helped me cast my line, and I ended up catching the biggest
fish. So not only was I not suppose to be participating, because I was a girl, but I won
the fishing trophy for the biggest fish. I still have it, but I don't like to display it
because now I'm against fishing. Weird, huh?

Several, mostly for writing. The one
that I really take a lot of pride in is the SC Lt. Governor's award for writing that I won
in 5th grade.

I like to take pictures and for the past few
years I have been a member of our local camera club. At our monthly photography
competitions, I have won about a dozen awards.

Wow, let me think about that...I have
trophies and plaques from elementary school for winning spelling bees. I have a literary
award for a poem I wrote. I think there's more but I can't think at the moment. Awards
have never been that important to me. I clam up when I receive praise...it's a

In
elementary school I got awards for having no red slips. We had a thing called
"Project R" that I assume stood for Respect...anyway, if you were bad (this
includedskipping steps on the stairway) you got a red slip. If you didn't get any red
slips during a month, or did something extraordinary like return a library book on time,
you got a green slip and were allowed to attend a "Project R" Assembly.
