Do you like math?

Uh...HELL NO!

Take an "n" and add an "o" to it !

Not really. I don't mind it, but I don't like it. I was supposedly on the Math Team in high school but I wasn't particularly active. I actually never got past Algebra II (which I took in 11th grade), and barely passed that. I didn't like any of my high school math teachers very much, though in middle school it was enjoyable.

Yes, I do. I like subjects where you do more than memorize facts. You learn a few basic math formulas and with those alone, you can figure things out. It makes sense.

Only math that isn't painfully difficult.

Well, I never liked math, but I think it was because I wasn't good at it at all. My little brain couldn't wrap itself around algebra. So no, I don't like math.

Lisa J., 23

Sort of. I was always good at it, but never had a passion for it.

Yes, and I am very good at it.

Love it! To me, numbers are the only thing in this world that makes sense. Math is concrete, two plus two will ALWAYS be four, no matter who is involved in interpreting the results. Everything can be broken down into numbers as well. I recently watched the movie Pi again and every time I see that film, I am in awe of the numerical systems that are all around

Nope. It's up there with science as my least favorite subject. Thank God for calculators!!

Oh Lord no. I failed Math all through high school and then last year in my freshman year of college, I failed my math class yet again. I am horrible with algebra and trig...it makes me feel so stupid.

I like easy math. Sitting down and doing a long but easy long division problem soothes me. I'm serious. You know, a problem like 397509852 divided by 2. That sort of thing relaxes me; the doing of trivial and mundane tasks always has.

math and I do not get along. We agree to disagree and as long as I don't bother it, it doesn't bother me.

i don't mind math if it's really easy, but it's it's difficult or boring math, i hate it.

Math sucks.

I'm down with algrebra, but I'm not a big fan of math in general.

Yes. I particularly like algebra, which is very logical.

I acknowledge its existence. . .I don't know about liking it. Algebra's okay.

I wish I understood math better. When I was in college, I always wished I could take math and science classes that went at my pace and I didn't have to worry about grades. Because I had trouble understanding the concepts, I didn't do as well as I'd like so I was very frustrated and dreaded classes. I think if I had a good teacher and lots of time, I'd like it.

Yes. It is like putting a puzzle together - I enjoy exploring solutions.

Mathematics is a language I'd rather contemplate than use. I find a great deal of satisfaction in the practical symbolism of the equals sign (=) and the stately procession of counting by 2's and 3's and 4's. Prime numbers are implacable facts and the fact that "x" can be decoded is quite heartwarming.

Using math is another question. I can do simple arithmetic-- and even some complicated calculations--but I resent the need for finicky accuracy.

yes i do...i like algebra...but i'm in trig right now and don't understand it..that i don't like. but doing algebra I and II was fun!
