more people.

The world is changed for the better by
methodical passion moving one grain of sand at a time. Passion without method and method
without passion produce negative changes.

The world (the planet earth) has
been around for millions of years but the most change
has occurred only in the past few hundred. Fortunately, most change has been for the good.
However, there have been some bad changes. The world has fewer trees, birds, animal and
plant species, and the air quality has gotten pretty bad. Hikers can no longer get a cold
drink of water from a nearby brook without first filtering the water. You can't even swim
in some rivers and streams because they are so polluted. Each summer my husband and I,
along with thousands of Americans, help to clean up the mess humans have made of our
beaches and parks. But fortunately, the world today is more concientious (about some
things) and more trees are being planted, fewer are being cut down for timber, groups
interested in wildlife and the environment in general have been formed and things are
being done. As a birdwatcher...and lover...the change that I, personally, am the saddest
about is the way birds populations have been decimated.

Thw world has changed in regard to morals.
Today it is permissable to do almost amything and people don't see the wrong in it. It
frightens me that my grandchildren are growing in a world like this. There is lies and
immorality and corruptness in our office of state and nation. To many have turned their
heads away from God and the Bible but this is prophecy being fulfilled if you keep up with
your scriptures you will see that. We need to tiurn to God not man.

The world IS change. Shifting plates, death,
life, warmth, cold. . .it's all about contrast and evolution.

I need a context to answer this
question!!! Over the millenia it's changed from a
swirl of gas to the earth as we now know it. Since yesterday, my personal world has
a lot more inconvenience with my car breaking down this morning.

Since when? The world is different every
day. Not always in a good way either.

I'd suggest that it is changed
seemingly at random, or in a way we can't predict or
understand. I think our collective consciousness shapes and changes the world, but since
people in general can't fathom that or feel it, it gets reclassified as inexplicabe,
ineffable... Or one person claims he's changed the world single-handedly, and others
believe it, so bogged down are we in individual conceit. I don't find truth in that and I
think it diverts us from finding the concept of the global mind.

the world has changed thru technology which
makes people change. THere are microchips and stuff like that that make life easier and
faster. WHich gives people access to other ways of life be it good or bad.

In my lifetime: the world has
changed in the collapse of communism, the internet's
influence on the economy and the speed of information being spread; in general, the world
has moved away from ignorance to knowledge. On the negative side, overpopulation has
caused many problems, and the spread of diseases (like AIDS) caused by man encroaching on
nature.

i don't understand this question. . .it's
kinda too open-ended, I think. . .(It also seems grammatically incorrect. . .isn't
it "How (has) the world changed?") anyways. . . In most ways I don't think the
world has changed, at least in broad terms. . .my world, in social, pop-cultural terms,
changes almost every day.

There is lots of stuff going on in the world
today socially, politically, and environmentally. In the social scheme of things: As time
passes, a greater divide is being created between the wealthy and the poor, but in
developed countries, the poor are generally not left to fend for themselves. Trends show
the USA is moving slowly (sometimes very slowly) towards social liberalism by maintaining
legal abortions, making slow progress in hate crimes legislation that includes protection
based on perceived sexual orientation and gender, beginning to allow legal recognition of
all couples by granting the rights of marriage through civil unions for same-sex couples,
legalizing assisted suicide, medicinal marijuana, and campaign finance reform, providing a
living wage to all people who work, and allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the
military. The AIDS pandemic is threatening to have a second upsurge because of new drug
cocktails that have made it possible to live longer with the disease. People have the
false impression that AIDS is no longer dangerous and have resumed risky behavior that has
facilitated the transmission of the disease. Africa, the continent that has been hit the
hardest, has a continually growing population with AIDS, and this disease will likely have
a devastating impact on several countries in that region in the near future.
In terms of international politics, the
United Nations continues to facilitate the trend towards globalization. International
finance corporations like the International Monetary Fund are being accused of forcing
debt upon underdeveloped countries by giving loans that require economic restructuring
that is not suitable to a developing nation and by collecting high interest on the loans.
There is still a large divide between the developed nations and underdeveloped nations
that is cause for much resentment. The most talked about global issue of today in my city
is the "Second Intifadah" in the Middle East. Israel and Palestine seem to be
suffering from a stalemate in peace negotiations and the future of that region looks to be
quite volatile.
Environmentally, global warming threatens to
become a serious issue. More and more, developed nations take steps to try and decrease
the amount of pollution in our atmosphere, but still the temperature rises due to Green
House gasses, and certain communities that rely on long winters are already feeling the
economic brunt of this manmade weather change. The population recently passed 6 billion
and is still growing rapidly. Overpopulation of the world is still mostly an afterthought
to most developed nations, but nations like China(the most populous nation in the world
today) already have a one child policy to help control their population. The rain forest
continues to dwindle, animal species continue to be driven to extinction, and humans
expect the world we continue to decimate to support the quickly increasing population.
