What is the most embarrassing thing you have done for love?

ive never done anything embarrassing for love.

Love is never having to say you are sorry. That should encompass never having to do embarrassing things.

Prostrate myself in front of my ex-boyfriend and beg him to take me back. It was really pathetic. Although, I don't know if that was love or infatuation.

Listen patiently--although my smile does become a bit stilted.

I honestly can't say I can think of anything. I rarely made a move unless I was 100% certain of success.

I can't think of anything that seemed embarassing either in the past or present.

The first thing that comes to mind is something that happened when I was just 13 or so...I thought I was madly in love with a boy in my class. I composed this gushingly romantic love letter (more like a mini-novel including poetry and the works!) and mailed it to Gregory's house. His mother intercepted it, showed it to him, then somehow let it get into his hands -- you guessed it, he brought it to class and read it aloud in the courtyard the next day. I thought I would die when all the boys (brats that they were) started quoting my love letter in bits and pieces all around the school. That was my first lesson about putting anything in writing that you didn't mind the whole world reading. The next embarrasing thing I did was to marry my first husband. That was in 1973 and I still cringe when I think about it!

I sat through at least 20 excrutiatingly bad shows just because my bf at the time was in the band.... my god they were horrible! To have to sit there and listen, smiling, as everyone in the crowd was heckling really sucked.

A girl that I liked told me that she was moving to a different school, and we had been in kind of an argument, so I called her back crying and then found out later that she, in fact, wasn't switching schools and had probably just told me to make me feel bad...

I moved to the city where a woman was that I fell deeply and pathetically in love with, in the desperate hope that I could possibly re-kindle something.

As a teen calling the boy's phone number just to hear him say hello, then hang up. Now of course, caller ID spoils all that.
