Who
do you know that could be described as a living "saint"?No one. I'm not saying
everybody's scum, I just don't hold anybody up like that.

My friend Shayna, while not a saint, is
perhaps the most angelic person I know. She radiates tons of great energy and I don't
think she even knows it. So many people simply love her for being such a fantastic
person.

I have a cousin who is in the same order of
nuns as Mother Theresa. Maybe she is on her way?

For me the term "saint" embodies
not only virtue, but a special relationship with the divine. I am not equipped to judge
anyone else's relationship with the divine.

I don't think there is an actual or as
biblical text would describe, Saint. There is the Pope and others of differing
religions but no one can really be the judge of a real saint, only God can do that.

I don't know anyone just now who
fits the category. I have known some people in the past who were described in that way,
but in my opinion they were more martyrs than saints and all too often flaunted their
martyrdom.

A mentally retarded guy works in our file
room and talks to anyone who will listen, telling them sports scores, corny jokes, plots
of cartoons, etc. It got so bad that people would go out of their way not to have to pass
his desk and be bombarded with words. However, one woman who worked here listened to him
at length, letting him go on and on. Everyone called her "Saint Rosemary".

My mother-in-law, Doris. She is the perfect
example of a Proverbs 31 woman, gracious, kind, loving, and a gentle spirit. God Bless
her.

I have a friend who's mother I might
consider a living saint. She is the most wonderful person I have ever met and everything
she does is for everyone else. She is the most unselfish person I know and to the people
who know and love her...she might very well be a saint!

Can't say I've met anyone or know of
anyone who is a living saint.

One of my best friends comes close; after
knowing me only one week, he really leapt to save me when I suddenly came down with a
serious illness when I was visiting him, and ended up carrying me to the hospital, sitting
with me in the ER, and then he insisted on looking after me after I had had emergency
surgery as a result. And again, this was only after knowing me for one week. (Although,
he's so being described as a
"saint" would probably amuse him to no end.)

There was this teacher at my high school who
if she isn't canonized by the Catholic Church, I'm calling the Pope and complaining. She's
amazing. She adopts at-risk, mentally and physically handicapped, minority, and/or abused
children and raises them. She's a beautiful human being.
