Do you remember the speaker and/or the topic at your graduation?

if I did I would be specially magical - my graduation isn't until October

Alice, 23

No, I don't remember the speakers or the topics of any of my graduations. I remember it being really hot at my graduation from U of D, and one of the boys joking that I was probably wearing hot pants under my gown. I remember being really tired and relieved at my graduation from Ohio State because I had stayed up late finishing my very last paper. I skipped my Wayne State graduation because I didn't enjoy Wayne and just wanted to be out.

I don't remember either from high school, and I skipped graduate school graduation because only recipients of doctorates were recognized individually. My college graduation speaker was Mary Ellen Chase, and her theme was "God does not ask a perfect work but only infinite desire."

No idea.

Not at all. I to remember sitting on stage, and walking into the gym for the ceremony. My college ceremony is even more of a blur.

We had our valedictorian speaker at our high school. I graduated out of a county college. I do not remember that.

I wouldn't have been able to answer that question on the day of my graduation, let alone 17 years later!

Laura, 39

Not really.

Karen, 24

no.

I graduated in the Class of '60. Our commencement speaker was Margaret Chase Smith and her topic was the usual exhortation to improve the world.
