having no school, particularly no school to
wake up early for. going down cape cod... getting a tan, hanging out with friends, going
to awesome concerts (i'm going warped tour in august, yeahhh!). the satisfaction that
another school year is finally over.

One thing only? The warm sun against
my skin...I live for those days all winter long. Going out at night with no coat, swimming
in the ocean, hanging out with friends while cooking on
the grill (BBQ in other words), going to the beach, fishing, surfing...I could go on for
pages! I LOVE SUMMER!!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
I love the heat of the summer. I am a Texan
therefore love the heat. Even when the temp. rises to 115 degrees in August. I love it. I
am cold natured so the warm air is wonderful.
Stephanie, 25

The chance to get out of this state as much
as possible. And do my Christmas shopping while I'm gone.
Karen, 21
Marshelltown/Ames, IA USA
To me, summer is a necessary evil that one
must sweat through to get to autumn, which I dearly love.
Reba, 51
Rockville, MD
USA
I tend to be less busy at work during the
summer months, so I can take time off. Often I spend several days with my family in NJ and
we go to the shore. I like the hot weather and go swimming when I can at the river or in
the ocean.
Laura, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
Days of comfortable
temperatures--between 58 and 73 degrees.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I just love being able to walk out of the
house unencumbered by heavy coats, gloves, hats, scarves, etc. Summer just makes me feel
much more free-spirited.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
I love moderate summer days with lots of
blue sky and sun spent by a mountain lake.
Felicia, 20
Lowell, MA USA
The warmth! I *hate* the cold. I like a hot, humid,
sticky day just fine. Sure I prefer it a little cooler, but around here it gets hot and
humid and that's just fine with me.
etoile, 20
Washington, DC USA
EVERYTHING! No school, nice sunny hot
weather, seeing my friends and my boyfriend like 10 times as much, no school, swimming,
camping, no school, suntanning.... and did I mention no school?
Dianne, 16
Oshawa, Ontario CANADA
Lying out on my speedboat, tanning and
talking to my sister. Going out to dinner and cruising around with my friends at night.
Summer parties and open houses. Making lots of money.
Katie, 25
Seminole, FL
USA
Time outdoors - walking in the
woods, taking the baby out in the stroller, taking long
walks with the dog, going to the park, listening to the birds, watching the squirrels,
etc. Mostly though I think I look forward to the warm weather - because without it none of
the above are possible.

Well, besides no school, I get to go places
and do things without distractions... This summer I'm going to try to do as much as
possible before high school, and try to learn something new about myself...
Jeremy, 14

Its arrival -- everything else is a bonus.
Jane, 60

The warm weather. I destest the cold
and being shut in all the time. I am not what you call
an out doors person, but, I in going in and out, such as to and from work, or doing
errands etc. I do not want to be cold.
Becki, 49
Marengo, OR
USA
It used to be no school. After I moved to
SC, it was going home to my mom and dad. Since I moved back to Arkansas this summer, I
guess it was going to be doing stuff with all my friends, but since I have a full time job
this summer, it's probably going back to SC for a week so I can see my boyfriend.
Angela, 16
