What do you like best about your job?At the end of the
night, I get to go home
Melodi, 19
Gahanna, OH
USA
What I like best about my job is that I can
basically wear anything I want to the office. I even walk around barefoot to which I feel
the most comfortable.
Stephanie, 25
TX USA
I work at Target. It's just part-time. I
guess it's all right.. we get a lot of hot guys from Oakland University who shop for
razors and milk and stuff, so that's a bonus.. other than that, probably the Hudson's
discount or the flexible hours.
Katie, 25
Seminole, FL
USA
There is nothing to like about my
actual job. All I do is answer the phone and talk to pissed off people about their
defective purchases. Yeeehaaaaawww! But the people I
work with are awesome. The office is full of smart, funny, laid back people and I actually
have a good time at work. And they don't look down on the wierd girl with maroon hair.
Maggie, 20
Sandwich, IL
USA
Well, I'm not currently working, but I will
be starting a new job the first Wednesday of June and I think what I'll like best about it
is that I'm getting paid to do something I usually would do for free (helping out with
kids at the church).
Angela, 16
Bella Vista, AR USA
Yuck. Very little. I hate this job. I
suppose it's good that it's rather informal and there aren't many people here - if one or
two of them are out or at lunch, I've got the place mostly to myself. Also I can pretty
much slack off most of the time. Technically this is a decent job, but it's *so* not what
I want to be doing.
etoile, 20
Washington, DC USA
I don't have a job, and there is absolutely
nothing I like about school, except maybe for the fact that it makes 3:15PM seem far more
significant.
Shanna, 16
Cardiff ENGLAND
I work out of my home, so I'm here when my
daughter leaves and comes home from school.
Cathy, 26
Mandan, ND
USA
I don't know.. any number of things.
It pays well - it'll get me travelling to the mediterranean four-five times this year.. people are nice.. they let me start late, if i compensate in the
evenings.. its for a good cause.. topic is one i'm well acquainted with, and much
interested in, through studies etc... i'm continuing something of a family
tradition..colleagues are all colours, from all cultures.. work is content- heavy, and
you're invited to think along in what is a not-so hierarchical structure..
i guess i should love this job.. guess i
should.

I really like being able to create or foster
environments where others can really shine as individuals. I like that I can see concrete
results my work.
Felicia, 35
Lowell, MA
USA
I do home care for a lady with alzheimers
and the best part of the job is that I am helping her have a better quality of life than
if she were in a nursing home. I really like my job although it will not last forever
Becki, 49
Marengo, OR
USA
I'm just-a-housewife which gives me a very
flexible working schedule and a great deal of freedom to make my own plans.
Jill, 60
Saylorsburg, PA USA
I'm not in a job, but I'm a
university student of law. What do I like best? For
everyone not in a legal profession, this will sound strange - the beauty of the law and of
the science of law. It makes one realize that most of the time the lawmakers actually
thought about what they did, and that they tried to find a good solution.
It is our obligation to make sure that the
law actually works and is applied in a just way.

the money

I have a part-time job at a pizza place
where I make hoagies and wings and stuff like that. What I like most is that I am in the
back in the kitchen and I don't have to deal with the public. I know that sounds bad but I
have very low patience for some people. Not everyone, of course, but some can be so rude.
It's nice to just be able to do your job and not have to have a smile plastered on your face and put up with those
people.
Jennifer, 19
Wilkes-Barre, PA USA
I like that I don't have to "hide"
my faith. The nonprofit that I work for is unabashedly Christian.
Laura, 36
Lowell, MA
USA
I guess the thing I like best about
my job is the fact that I HAVE one. It's not a great
job by any means but it pays the bills, and if I have to work, I guess I'd rather work
here than most places. And Eva and Ernest make it bearable.
Reba, 51
Rockville, MD
USA
I love the challenge of taking a complete
botch up created in our lab, and not only solving the mystery of it from beginning to end,
but then the wonderful pleasure I get from calling and informing the customer that the
problem is solved. I also enjoy the fact that I get a chance to be creative from time to time.
Fisch, 45
Preston, CT
USA
I get paid. And sometimes the calls are
slow. Other than that, it's a total whip.
Firelady, 23
Dallas, TX
USA
The diversity! Application development
involves both working with people and working alone, intense coding and more relaxed
design of forms and reports. No two days are the same. And as a contract developer, I move
from project to project, having the opportunity to learn about different types of business
and work with different types of people.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
USA
I like best the freedom the owners
provide. It's like not, worrying about what you did
wrong, more like heading in the right direction always. It is wonderful.
Fish, 40
Port Dover CANADA
No one's looking over my shoulder all the
time. I can fool around for hours, as long as I get the work that needs to get done, done
in a timely fashion.
Talia, 23
Wilton, CT
USA
I don't get paid for my job, and I regularly
spend a lot of time outside of work. I do get to live in a dorm with other college
students, and I do get free meals. It balances out. =)
Eric, 19
Beverly Hills, CA USA
The people. : )
Karen, 21
Marshelltown/Ames, IA USA
I like
the money a lot. Also, I work with a lot of really nice and funny people so that really
adds to it.
Karen2, 15
Boston, MA
USA
What do I like best about my job? You mean,
besides Taco Salad? Well, of course I like the people I work with (they reek of
awesomeness). Of course, the parts reeks of awesomeness as well...
Frodo, age

When I'm teaching and I can see the light
bulb go on in their little minds.
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ USA
I like watching suggestions people have
become reality. Sometimes it happens slowly but when it does happen it's exciting
and rewarding. Rats! I guess I lost my chance to use the word "fruition" again.
Oh well.
