What kind of
beach do you prefer?I like one that has a lot of sand and tide pools.
Jeremy, 13
Highlands Ranch, CO
The kind that's next to the ocean.
Actually, until last week I hadn't been to the ocean
since I was a baby. I might have seen it when I flew into New York in high school, but I
don't think I did.

I like the kind of beach where there are no
dead fish or animals. On a nice sunny day with a light breeze, but not too sunny or
breezy. With people having fun, but not too many people. A beach with sand and alot of
rocks and a few tiny bits of broken glass, softened through time.

Haven't really seen enough beaches to answer
that properly. Have a feeling I'd like the lush white clean kind.
Firelady, 22

Cold and rainy. Think England. The sun is
vastly overrated. But then again, I live in LA and it's about 1200 degrees outside.
Amy, 23
Baton Rouge, LA
the one where you can lay in the
sun, wear a bikini and look perfect and get kissed so
crazy on.
Jaden, 21
Brampton, Ontario CANADA
I'm a water watcher and partial to a
stern and rock-bound coast.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA
My favorite beach is on South
Higgin's Lake which is about 4 hours north of Detroit. It is a spring fed lake so it is
cold most of the year and very clean. It is very sandy and shallow for a very long way
out. Then it drops off all of a sudden. I spent a lot
of time there as a child and love it. I hope to someday have a cottage there or to retire
there like my grandparents did.
Kathy, 26
Garden City, MI
80 degrees...sunshine with a few big white
clouds...white sand...a little wind but not too much to blow sand on me...some fellow
beach bums to make it interesting, but not too many. A really good hot dog stand must be
nearby, and I must have a good book to read! (Also, it would be nice to have clean
bathrooms available!)
Susan, 31
Chicago, IL
Rocky, cracky shorelines with high cliffs
overlooking. Wind whipping. Sun or no. I have never seen a "beach" as amazing as
the northern California coast near Monterey. A pure white sand beach near turqoise waters
under a full moon can be pretty awe inspiring as well
Felicia, 34
Somerville, MA
I like the kind of beach where it
doesn't hurt to walk barefoot.
Sarah
Roseburg, OR
Well, since I live in Washington, I
have to say that you can give me a rocky beach anyday over the soft wimpy SAND of other
beaches. I really love the beach and I like my beach to
have cliffs and boulders and be more tough and unapproachable than most. My favorite day
at the beach is right in the middle of a storm - big waves and rain in your face - that is
living.

Topless ones.
Socrates One
Lowell, MA
Clothed, sandy, and family-oriented.
Lindsay, 21
Harrisonburg, VA
I like beaches that have hills and trees in
sight. Like the Ardirondack lake beaches I grew up with, or the coast of Maine, the North
coast of Devon, or the ocean beaches here in Oregon.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
A warm sunny one, nice and close by, with
lots of big surf!!
Helena, 31
Sydney AUSTRALIA
I know it is predictable, but I
would like to go to a nude beach someday. As is though, my favorite beach yet has been
Fort Walton/Destin, late at night in the middle of
winter. It is like the end of the world lapping at your feet.
Anthony, 25
Baton Rouge, LA
At night I love the coast of Maine
or the beach at dawn in Miami
Aruba was great in the afternoon,
but nothing beats Hawaii
Jami, 27
Lowell, MA
Any Beach on the Gulf of Mexico that is not
very crowded.
Pamela, 38
Sugar Hill, GA
In this area there's Hampton NH
which is good because there's a boardwalk with lots to do but naturally attracts a lot of
traffic.
Alias Irrelevante
The closest
one...three blocks from my house. Actually I prefer private beaches because the big crowds
are TOO much sometimes!!
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ
I prefer the NJ shore, in particular Island
Beach.
Laura, 35
Lowell, MA
white
sand, non polluted
Angela, 16
Bella Vista, AK
Warm amd sunny with a nice stretch on sand
around 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon. The crowds are gone and the tide is coming in.
Peaceful and quiet.
Janet, 42
E. Brunswick, NJ
I think a lake beach suits me fine. . .
