Do you believe in
life after death?Yes, though I have no idea in what form.
Firelady, 22
Dallas, TX
Yes I do.
Laura, 35
Lowell, MA
Maybe. I definitely like the idea,
but only if you get to choose to hang out with the people you like most from earth.
Shayna, 28
Somerville, MA
The way I look at is: what's the point without it? I sat at a bar one night with
Anthony and his friend Jack, discussing the possibilities of life after death. Jack said
that after a body physically dies, there is a miniscule weight difference that cannot be
accounted for. Is it the soul? I don't know. All of this just seems pointless if there
isn't life after death, you know? All of this living and thinking for nothing? I can't say
if there's a heaven or hell, just as I can't say if the Xians are right or the Jews or the
Buddhists. But, I do know this. We are here for a reason. This is not a fluke accident. We
didn't just develop as a abnormality or a virus or a product of evolution. Evolution is a
side effect. We developed for a reason, the same as other civilizations on other planets
developed. We are meant to do something. What that something is is a question for our own
selves.

I believe in life after death: you
try to live a good live on earth so you can have a nice
life in death, according to whatever beliefs you subscribe to.

There's only one way to find
out and I'm not quite ready to do that yet.

Not in any traditional sort of sense. I believe that we are all
comprised of energy and that these particles of energy form and reform themselves into
endless shapes and forms throughout the endless universe. As for a consiousness after
death, I think it highly unlikely.
Felicia, 34
Somerville, MA
I believe in some kind of life after
death, but I'm not sure exactly what that life might
be.
Tracy, 24
Ocean City, NJ
No. But neither do I disbelieve.
Jill, 59
Saylorsburg, PA
I believe in some kind of survival
of the spirit, of that which makes each person unique. If I didn't, it would make
accepting the death of loved ones, especially my son,
even harder than it is.
Jane, 60
West Linn, OR
You betcha.
Jeremy, 13
Highlands Ranch, CO
Yeah, but not in the traditional
Judeo-Christian sense. I believe that we live on in other's memories of us. If you have
had a positive influence on people, you will be remembered positively, if not, you will be
remembered with infamy or not at all. Could be wrong though. It is tradition in our family
to sit around at someone's house after a funeral and tell great stories about the
deceased. I find it incredibly comforting.
Kathy, 26
Garden City, MI
yes, in the form of heaven.
Angela, 16
Bella Vista, AK
I do not believe in heaven or hell. I
believe that it is possible that we come back again, and I believe that if we do have
spirits that they are forever tied to the earth and will never escape. I am going to be
honest, I don't know how I feel exactly. It is a very difficult question to answer simply
because no one can tell us what it is like after you die. Perhaps

To begn, I believe that there is an essence
to all things which exists whether you are alive or dead. This essence is your personality
acquired over many experiences. I also believe in a heaven. I don't believe in a hell.
WHen you go up to heaven, you can hang out for a bit and maybe even be an angel for people
and calm the distressed and stuff. Up there, you have the sum off all your memories
through lfie. After awhile, though, you come back to earth as something of your chosing--
an earthworm, a parasite, a person. Maybe you even know the whole destiny of that
something or have a general idea of what problems and positives that something will face.
Up there, there is not such thing as a good life or a bad life. HOwever, when on earth,
you are ignorant of this other life you have when you are dead and all the knowledge you
have gained.
My opinion on these matters changes. I can only speculate.

Yes, and I believe in life after
love too!
Jami, 27
Lowell, MA
I do, although I am still indecisive as to
what kind of life. Not sure if we are reincarnated to live again in this world, or if we
live on in our spirit form in "heaven" or something similar. I can't believe
that there is just nothing after we die. Our souls have to go somewhere.
Katie, 24
Seminole, FL
I don't
necessarily believe in life before death, so...
Anthony, 25
Baton Rouge, LA
I'm not sure how I feel about that...I hope
there is life after death, Iknow that much.
Nicole

Yes!
Heaven is a place where you can eat McDonald's fries, ice cream and chocolate chip cookies
without gaining weight. Hell is a place where you have to get a bikini wax, do high-impact
step aerobics, and play golf in South Carolina in 100 degree heat all in one day.
Susan, 31
Chicago, IL
Yes, but in what form I'm not too
sure.
Nikki, 27

I believe
in life, I live life, and what I don't know won't hurt me yet.
Karen, 20

only in
the way that any individual can have a "life" in the memories of those he leaves
behind. . .
