What is the largest amount of cash you ever had with you at one time while away from your house? Why did you carry so much with you?

Hmm. Probably 200 dollars. I only had it with me becuse I've never had an issue with carrying a lot of money; and I infinitely prefer to use money over, say, checks or credit cards.

Maybe about $200 US dollars. I'm far from wealthy and that's not a large ammount for going on a trip. Especially when you consider that it was probably when I went to Florida and I went to Disney World down there, which is what, about a hundred bucks now?

$1000 in traveler's checks because I was traveling to Europe

I had about $550 cash in my pocket a week or so ago. I do everything with cash so on the weeks that my paycheck, my tips, and my child support are in my wallet I walk around pretty nervously until I can squirrel it away at home.

About $500. Someone paid me for something in cash and I took it straight to the bank.

I don't really know what the most was. There have been a few times (when I was traveling or whatever) when I had a few hundred dollars spread over my person, but those are rare instances. Usually I'm lucky if I have $20 on me.

I went to Florida for spring break last year, but I was on a very tight budget. I took what I needed for the trip, no frills or thrills, and stowed my bank card far away from sight (but kept it in case of emergencies). I only took about $200--that paid for gas, food, and so on, since housing was already covered.

I think once I had $600 with me when my husband and I were on vacation. Eventually, we put $200 in a suitcase, he carried $200, and I carried $200.

I think around $200. I had it with me when I was traveling.

Probably 200 dollars and because I had to buy my school books with it.

$10,000 we borrowed it from a relative to purchase our house. It was in a brown Mickey Mouse lunch bag.

A little over $800. I was making a cross-country trip and had traveler's checks and credit cards too, still nothing speaks as loudly as hard cash while sight-seeing and traveling. Ya just never know when you'll need it ... like in some off the wall tourist trap down in New Mexico where they neither speak English nor use electricity!!

About $600 that went to a travel agent.

I carried $750 dollars with me and I was bringing it to pay for a car

$850. I was away on a summer study program in Spain.

About $1800 cash. I had the monthly rent for 7 people to deposit into my checking account since none of my glorious housemates had any sort of bank relationship. I was living in NYC at the time and it did make me feel a bit self conscious to have so much cash on my person.

I was on business and carried a couple thousand with me a few times. I didn't have a reliable bank account yet, so carrying the cash was my only viable option. I had to travel from city to city installing computer networks, so it made it difficult to manage money.

when I was seventeen i ran away from home to new york city for a few days and brought about $1,000 with me just in case. I probably spent about half of it. The runner-up to that experience was also when I was seventeen (I must have been a busy girl)and got my last two tattoos - I had about $380 on me at the time.

I had about $3000 with me one time, because I had just cashed both my paycheck and tax refund check. Stupid of me, I know. Not something I do on a regular basis.

I had about $500 in cash when I went to Rome a few years ago. I'm planning a mission trip to Brazil later this year and I expect to have several thousand dollars on hand for that. I plan to put some of it in travellers checks and will put the rest in the safe at the host organization

I carry little cash. Usually under twenty dollars. I use my debit card for shopping, gas or groceries.

The largest amount of money would have been $5400.00 thats cause I had just cashed my c.d out and I was planning on spending the money.

I just got back from a missions trip to Ireland where I had over 3000 Euro. I was leading a team of nineteen students and leaders. The money covered transportation, food, housing, and any emergency that could come up.

A few thousand (wasn't mine to count). I was working security.
